While walking along some of the less frequented streets of Annapolis, we happened upon this memorial. Nice place to stop and reflect on the changes he helped make happen in the United States.

Just in front of the state capitol so it is easy to enjoy this memorial to one of Maryland's famous citizens.

Stopped by the memorial October 3rd 2016. Our tour guide gave us a brief explanation of the progression of Thurgood's life. I'd recommend stopping and taking a picture if your at the state house.

The statute of Supreme Court Justice Marshall is a tribute to a native of Maryland. Great to take youngsters.

Though we weren't looking for it, we stumbled upon this memorial when we couldn't get into the State House and just needed a place to rest. I enjoy learning new things, and some of the information available here was new for me.

Take the time to go to the top of the hill and look around. The memorial is in front of a lovely building.

Located outside the State House the memorial is a simple reflection of a great man that should be seen and honored by all.

Unfortunately when we went to check out the memorial, there was a protest for Equality for the Hearing Impaired going on at the front of the State House . We were able to walk around it but the protesters had climbed up , sitting on top of it- sad to see. It is quite large & lifelike from what we... More
