When visiting Annapolis for a long weekend, my friends and I took advantage of Steve’s free walking tour. It was fabulous. Steve is both charismatic and knowledgeable. What a winning combination! He provided us with witty insight into the local history and politics. We particularly enjoyed learning about his family’s involvement in the early historic preservation efforts of Annapolis. We would unequivocally recommend Steve’s tour.

We toured Annapolis with Steve and would highly recommend him if you are looking for a fun experience. He has lived and worked in Annapolis so he's full of interesting stories you won't hear from a canned tour guide. There is no fee for his services but, of course, we happily tipped him for his time.

Steve was quite knowledgeable, & as we were the only two on the tour, geared it to our interests. His stories and discussion of Annapolis architectural sites and historical preservation policies was outstanding. He explained the transition from a slave state within the union during the Civil War and segregation in the 1950s to the situation today.

No better way to visit Annapolis (historic distric) than from the perspective of someone who knows it well, knows the locals, and who lives there. Steve knows the businesses there and has intimate knowledge of the people and the history. He has the ability to make otherwise dry material come alive in a fascinating way. Great tips on restaurants too!

Thanks for the great review. The tour lasted longer than usual because we were having so much fun. I hope you enjoy some of the recommended activities I gave you, like sailing on Woodwind. There's lots of fun things to do in Annapolis if you know where to look.
