Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned quite a bit about the city and its history during our walk. The food was very good, and each of the restaurants was different. The tour lasted from 1:00 PM until almost 5:00 PM. The progressive meal included enough food for our lunch and dinner - soup to dessert. The people on our tour were very congenial, and we had a wonderful time. Great start to our first post-COVID vacation.

Caroline did an excellent job as our tour guide. Unexpectedly, our group had the tour to ourselves-just us 4 and Caroline! It made for a personalized experience we weren't expecting! The food vendors were accommodating of our various food allergy needs, for the most part, and did great with small reminders. We learned a lot and had many laughs along they way!

We did this for a company team building. We're local and we had Carolyn and she was terrific. We did a walking food and historical tour with some ghost tidbit peppered in because we asked for it. The food was great and everything was so seamlessly and efficiently organized! We're already talking about doing a ghost tour next!

We went on this tour with Sam on Sunday. The only ones signed up for this day were my adult daughter, my husband, and I. We had tried to book the day before, but they were sold out, so I'm sure it can be hit or miss as to how many will be in your group, but they say they don't take more than 14.

Sam was a wealth of information and has the right personality for this type of event. She wants to make sure everyone is having a good time and is extremely accommodating. Her knowledge is wide and since she has lived in this area her entire life, she has picked up such interesting tidbits.

The tour will run 3 to 3 1/2 hours. We stopped at 5 food stops and had a LOT of food. I need to stress that when they tell you to come to this tour hungry, it is serious. We had treats like flat bread pizzas, crab chowder with shrimp on the side, oyster shooters, tacos that you pick out the two types you want, and then tops it off with the best ice cream in Annapolis for sure.

We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this tour for anyone that would like a feel for what Annapolis has to offer, get a feel for some of the history and foods in the area and just a pleasant day all over.

(below, we are required to say who we were on this tour with...ie couple, friends, business, solo, family with young children or teens and you can't go further without picking one. Since we were a family but all were adults, we don't have an option, so I will click we had teens, but since it requires you pick one, it's misleading.)

My boyfriend and I went on the Annapolis Food Tour and loved it! Our Tour Guide, Julia Bigelow, was so accommodating considering we were a half hour late for the tour and she called to get in touch with us so we could meet up with the rest of the folks touring at the first restaurant. She also provided is a vast history of Annapolis throughout the 3 hour tour. The food was fabulous and well portioned and the city is beautiful. I highly recommend!

I had high hopes for this tour, but it was a bit of a disappointment. There are things that can’t be helped such as the extreme heat (you pay your money and take your chances), or the fact that the food, while most of it was very good was exceptionally heavy for eating on such a hot day. My big disappointment was with our guide, who was very pleasant but seemed unfamiliar with the details of her talking points and spent much of the tour reading from her cards. I believe a good guide MAKES a tour, even if the material is lackluster. Our guide didn’t have a good sense of when we had had enough and needed to move on.

I was also very put off at our third stop, Middleton Tavern. They seemed annoyed that we were there, and I was very uncomfortable with the waitress/bartender having a loud argument with our guide in front of us and all the other patrons. All the other locations were ready for us and made us feel welcome.

We enjoyed the history portion, although it got a bit lengthy at times with rhetorical questions like, "what else can I tell you?" The guide, Carolyn, was enthusiastic and well paced. The group of 11 was a really quiet one with few questions and little laughter at the guide's jokes. Not her fault, just a group that would have been ok with straight history, from my point of view. I did not particularly care for the restaurants. We were told we were being taken to the places the locals frequented, nothing historic about it by admission. Only Middleton Tavern fit the description of historic. We had a fine oyster shooter there--and exactly 5 min. to enjoy it. At the end we had a small cup of excellent local ice cream. But the first three where we had hearty portions and plenty of time were lacking in any sense of local or historical. We started at Luna Blu where we had a tasty dish of pasta sprinkled with some crabmeat. Then we went to Red, Red, Wine and had a flatbread pizza with prosciuto and pears and cheese and honey. Delicious, but not meaningful. Our third stop at Galways had heavy Irish food--corned beef and potatoes in three preparations. I would return to any of the restaurants, but I wasn't appreciative of the choices for this tour. I also expected more seafood, but the guide said too many people have seafood allergies. That shouldn't preclude the tour's including it in a port city! Highlights of the trip were visiting the Church of St. Ann, enjoying the walk around the capital and the information provided there, and also seeing some architecture which was explained well. For $60 per, it seemed like an ok value but not as satisfying as the tour we took the day before called "The Original Seafood Crawl." The food was better on that and the guide was very engaging--and the cost with a groupon was only $33. Still, I would recommend the "Historic food tour of Annapolis." We learned a lot.

I took my sister on this food tour for her birthday...a lovely rainy day...ugh. Little did I know just how great the day was going to turn out! Carolyn was our guide and is PHENOMENAL at what she does. She's full of life and humor and made you want to listen to everything she had to say! The tour itself was well laid out and the food choices took me out of my box a bit, which is not a bad thing. The nice thing was being able to have the "specialty" of each restaurant. My sister absolutely loved this tour! I can't wait to take my family back there! They'll love it and I'll get to enjoy it all over again! High praise for this tour. The guide has EVERYTHING to do with how much you enjoy your history lesson...with some yumminess thrown in!

My friend and I went on the food tour with Carolyn as our guide....she was funny, informative and a great guide. .We have been on other food tours in other cities but this one was The Best. The food was wonderful and plentiful..We sampled flat bread pizza , cream of crab soup, shirmp and oysters, and had the choice of the menu for tacos and all that was topped with ice cream..We learned about history and architecture and even a few ghosts..It was a nice blend of walking and eating...we absolutely recommend this tour.
