This is a great museum for anyone who enjoys history, especially those who appreciate the growth of mechanization and its influence on the development of the East Coast. There are exhibits with sawmills, train engines, looms, sailboats, quarries, and more. Plenty of hands-on (with sound)...More

My brother and cousins went one day, none of us had ever been. There were some schools there on field trips so it was busy, but there was plenty of room for everyone. So much history and facts about our great state of Maine.

This museum is top notch; very informative and comprehensive; be sure to have some time, as a few hours may not do it justice.

I am in a wheelchair and did not have a problem getting around. The staff is very helpful with any request you might make. The themes and displays change often, never boring no matter how many times you visit.
