Does the job

The Dublinia is a newish bar in the neighborhood, right next to the Hooter's parking lot.
Nothing fancy or even Irish for that matter, but it's a nice place to chill after you've been out exploring the city or the canal during the day.
Panama draft beer during happy hours can't be beat, ice cold and cheap.
Crowd was a mix of locals (more) and tourists (like us, less). We only had drinks, no food.

Weird place, but good place to grab a drink outside.

It's right next door to Hooters and you would think you were actually in Hooters by the way the waitresses dress. With that said, our waitress was very nice and explained the drink specials. Had some cocktails outside and ordered a pizza. The best part was when a clown showed up in a scooter to have a drink.

Nothing Irish about it, but OK bar.

Apart from a couple of cans of Guiness in the fridge there is nothing remotely Irish about this place. However it is still an OK bar.
I wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but if passing its worth considering.

Nice Irish bar
Mar 2016 • Couples
We came across this bar and called in.As we are northern Irish we like to visit Irish bars. We were made so welcome. The draft beer was good and very reasonably priced in comparison to other rip off bars. Taxes etc were included..Fernando the bar man is a lovely guy. Spoke perfect English and gave us advice. We liked it so much we went every night during our stay in Panama.

Small Irish Pub in Panama City
Feb 2016 • Couples
While walking around the neighborhood near our hotel, we stumbled upon Dublinia. The owner, a young man from Panama who went to Ireland to study English, returned home and opened this Irish pub. Apparently the clientele is definitely more men than women and we stopped by just as he was opening up. There's authentic Irish music playing, Guinness on tap, and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I say give it a chance before relying solely on old reviews because you might miss out on a great place.

Ashamed to be Irish
The creator of this faux Irish pub could be excused if he was from Mongolia or Tibet. But he comes from Ireland, born and bred. It's the worst attempt at a so called Irish pub I have ever seen. ( and I've seen some bad ones) He should be ashamed of himself. No fear of this developing into a chain across South America. Staff can't speak English, Heavy metal music blaring full blast, gloomy, no character. Utterly fake, phoney, corney.

Nice place to sit outside and drink beer
Feb 2015 • Friends
While in Panama City, we went to this place twice because it was very enjoyable and close to our hotel. I'm sure there are other places to get craft beer on tap, but this is the only one we saw. They feature several taps of locally brewed beer.
They are only recently opened and plan on featuring traditional Irish food but had none when we visited. Owned and operated by a very nice young couple who studied English in Ireland.
Definitely worth a visit.
