Historical and beautiful. This is where Simon Bolivar lived for some time in the 19th century when he was leading wars and battles to free parts of S. America and Panama from Spanish rule.

Impressive and well restored municipal building with lots of history - formerly a Franciscan convent. Inside, there are several rooms that pay tribute to Simon Bolivar. Located adjacent to a small, leafy square with several cafes and restaurants.

Pretty little area. The Palace is interesting, and you can grab a few good pictures in this area. Small area so it does not take a long time to also see other areas including this one.

Walking in the Old Town is a must. Seeing the old squares and churches reminds us of how young we are in America.

a beautiful building in Plaza Bolivar for photos, not sure if you can't go in, when I went there, a couple of cranes damaged your photos, a beautiful cloister from C. XVII-XVIII now converted and painted.
