Probably best spot to watch ships gp thru the locks of the canal and learn how it works. A most do if in Panama. Lots info and history.

As you'd expect in this age of heightened security, you aren't allowed to get too close to the locks or the canal itself. But this visitor center was so interesting I scarcely noticed. The models on display are incredibly well-made and well-cared for. It was...More

Miraflores Locks is a must see. The visitor center has multi-media exhibits telling the story of the original construction as well as the canal expansion recently completed by Panama. There is a short film and walk through exhibits. Also you can go outside and watch...More

We got lucky and saw a cruise ship pass thru. It is amazing to watch. The guide explained everything to us. Took us to everything in the visitor center.

Enjoy the visitor centre, its a lovely place to relax, have a coffee, see the views, the museum and commentary in the museum and of the locks is lovely. I bought souvenirs to mark my visit

Complete waste of $15. I have no idea how they can justify charging it. I wouldn’t advice you not to go but if you are on a budget it’s the sort of thing you can happily miss

Be sure to visit early in the morning or late in the day. No boat traffice from about 10 until 2 each day. Must be seen when the ships are passing through the locks.

Go early and you'll beat the crowds. Watched a couple of ships pass through the locks, precision and skill make it look way too easy. If your on Panama city I'd say this is a must do and in my case the canal was the...More

Interesting display of how the canal was built and a good view of traffic passing through the lock. Other than that there is lille to add.
