Nice path along the waterfront. We walked along Avenida Balboa to get to Carnaval and it was very enjoyable. Clean and well maintained with several small parks, fountain, misc. arts and lots of benches. Lots of people were running, biking and roller blading. Well kept...More

Avenida Balboa is often clogged with traffic. It's very loud if you live close by. But it is also very interesting. There are big hotels directly located, some restaurants, shops, etc. and of course the really nice Costa Cintera which is a park along the...More

We stayed in a condo right on Avenida Balboa with a view of the avenue and the ocean. The avenue has a park that runs the length, and includes walking paths, lawns, sports courts. Well maintained, clean, and a lot of active people walking, jogging,...More

We stayed at the Intercontinental Miramar for 2 nights as part of our Caravan tour. The accommodations were average for an older hotel but the view from the 10th floor room window was wonderful.

This avenue is where plenty of casinos and hotels are located! You are in close proximity to the ocean and have great city views...do not miss out on the fish market or dinner at the Intercontinental if you have time!

Loud, lots of music, dance, food vendors, cheap beer. Biggest complaint is the policia are everwhere, very officious. Unfriendly, treat you like a criminal, gated entrance both ends for access, they wanted my passport, secure pat downs. Machine guns, scooters, ATV's heavily armed presence for...More

I walked the length of this broad avenue which forms the Cinta Costura along the bight of a bay. Very pleasant and lots of exotic flowers and trees to see. There are strollers and roller skaters on the march. There are places for fitness buffs...More
