Get some beer and walk around in the night. Go to plaza Francia and enjoy the view of the skyline. Watch out as drinking on the streets is prohibited but just but your cane in a bag and enjoy :)

Excellent place for dinning. The Maitre D' and waiters displayed excellent service and were helpful in suggesting dishes. Food was absolutely excellent. Enjoyed live music Had a fantastic time and look forward to visit again

Reminds me of Habana Vieja - the old section of Habana. Panama's Caso Viejo is much smaller and unlike Habana Vieja the buildings are being refurbished.

Take a cab or find parking on the street. Make sure you bring a camera and walk around the area. You do not need a tour guide, but come during the morning because there are vendors on the street selling souvenirs.

You can walk this whole "village" in a few hours including stopping at shops and eating. It's interesting because you have historical landmarks ranging from churches to a theater, the President's residence, and itty bitty little modern restaurants with all kinds of food, all mixed...More

We spent an entire afternoon here as we ate lunch at a wonderful Panamanian restaurant called Diablicos. We also found someone to take us on a walking tour which lasted two hours and cost $10.00.

We walked, as a group, through the oldest part of Panama City, where all the deals of the previous centuries were made, where the protests that amounted to government action (or inaction) started. This is obviously one of the poorest sections of town but much...More

On a Saturday morning, how long a taxi ride from the airport to the old city? About how much will the fare be for 2 people? If I take a 'legit' taxi, do I need to ask the price before we start? Thank you

Sorry Jill, I just saw your message. Have you gone to Casco yet? We stayed at Villa Palma, but I had an Oferta (similar to groupon) and, it was half off. It all depends on your price range. Definitely stay in Casco if you... More
