This is among the oldest structure in the Historical district and it is close to a number of other attractions. This historical structure was completed in 1796 after a century of construction together with the twin bell towers.

Amazing to see the ruins, hear about the history and just look at the details of every inch of the building. Its amazing it is still there and in such good shape!

This is a very typical Central American styled religious building. The altar is made of gold. It is located in a very safe part of town. Which is very easy to walk around. If you’d like to visit religious buildings when you vacation, this cathedral...More

The plaza where the cathedral is located is very typical of a Latino-American style, with a colonial hotel at one end. However; the cathedral is being renovated and we were disappointed not to have been able to see the façade.

The church has a rich history. Further up the road there is a monastery and a convent. The alter is gold.

Hello, there was some construction going on around there but it didn't affect the cathedral. We went on August so it may be an issue now. Enjoy your trip.
