My husband and I like to do our own thing, so we drove our rental car here. We found pipeline road, parked, and hiked for about 2.5 hours. It was awesome! We saw toucans, anteaters, and the rarely seen howler monkeys! We were able to...More

If you go there get there early when it's cooler and there's more activity. Unless you are experienced I would recommend you go as part of a guided group if only to get the experience of finding and identifying the plants, birds etc. (We counted...More

There are lots of cool trees with amazing roots. There are areas for swimming on certain trails. On one trail, there are ant swarms carrying leaves, so beware if you are afraid of bugs.

You need a guide and/or a hotel in or near the park like Gamboa Resort or Canopy Tower. With a good guide you will see much wildlife and flora.

Toured the rain forest with a tour guide and was amazed at the birds and howler monkeys. The view from the Gamboa Resort was amazing!
