- TSG365San Diego, California118 contributionsLoved it, Great DealsUse Uber to go here, very cheap. Deals for days and if you like shopping you will shop until you drop! There is something here for everyone. I don’t believe there are 700 stores in this mall as I did walk around the entire thing, but it took me 5 hours to go through it. Have comfy shoes on to do the trek. Start on the first floor and see if you can work your way all the way to the other end. When you get to the second floor, it doesn’t seem like the more exciting stores are up there. In general, some of the stores start to blend together and look like they sell the same stuff but different names. You have to pay to use the restroom, but if you have a receipt from Paul restaurant, that will get you in for free. The bathrooms are nothing special.Visited February 2024Traveled soloWritten February 25, 2024
- kathyh6642017Bellingham, Washington120 contributionsShoppers paradiseWe visited this mall a couple of times as we used public transportation and the station is right across the street. Had a couple lunches in the food court. Service wasn't great but food okay. Went into numerous shops and the grocery store as well. It's cool/air conditioned, clean and modern. Toilets cost to use. It was very busy the times we were there.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten February 28, 2024
- Jam_Travel_Regular44 contributionsDownload the map before you goIt’s certainly large. It took me 3 days to properly explore it. There are no signs or directions so go on the website and download the map. Figure out which stores you want to go to. You will find the range from discount stores to a couple of high end brands. The brand name stores were actually more expensive than usual in this mall.. el costo, Conway, Steven’s and Dorian’s were my favs. The bathrooms have a fee to enter. I did not use any so cannot speak to the condition. Plenty of food courts and small restaurants so you will not lack for food options. Wear comfortable walking shoes - not many mall seats and usually full of young men lounging so you will not get to sit down until you go to the food court If you are visiting - stay at the adjoining Marriott which opens right into the mall. Download some Spanish shipping phrases if you do not speak the language and always ask for your tourist discount if availableVisited March 2024Traveled soloWritten March 22, 2024

- Shirmane FOcho Rios, Jamaica23 contributionsAlbrook Mall is huge and has a wide variety of storesLet me tell you something, you could get lost in the mall. There are so many stores but you have to check around not all the stores are cheap. Also, tourist should walk with their passport for discounts (in some stores). The food court can be overwhelming. There is a free bathroom at the foodcourt, otherwise you have to pay, however, it's like 25 cents to use the bathroom. The bathroom is clean. There is a gaming arcade on the upper floor, that place will take your money but it's a definite must visit if traveling with children. Also wear comfortable shoes. There is free wifi in areas of the mall.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 15, 2024
- alimasaMontevideo, Uruguay3,249 contributionsThe biggest shopping in AmericaA huge commercial area, overwhelming really, while it has absolutely everything you could possibly want in a shop and the offers are spectacular, I found the size of the place overwhelming. We spent about 5 hours and barely traveled a quarter. It has a good food plaza, several small squares scattered and we were told that there is a kind of train that takes you along the premises but we did not see it, we would have been well served because we wanted to go to a certain business that we never reached. In short: if you want to buy anything, by price and variety you should go.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 27, 2024

It is THE place to go shopping in Panama, because you have everything in one place, although you must have a whole day to explore it. It is excellent for those who have long layovers or can plan an exit from the airport to go shopping. You take the metro at the airport and after three combinations you are in Allbrook (I used both the option to go by taxi and the Metro and I chose the latter, it allows you to see the city a little and is much cheaper, and the metro Panama is excellent).
Inside the mall I recommend going directly to the department stores, El Costo, Titan; Stevens or Conway are the best and most complete, not to mention the prices.

This mall is has everything you need and more! Here are a few things we learned from our trip in January 2024.
1. If you plan to shop a lot, stay at the Albrook Marriott. It’s connected to the mall and you won’t need to worry about transportation and you can always go put down your shopping in your room when your bags start getting heavy.
2. If you’re not staying at the Marriott, then the fastest way to get to the mall is by train. You don’t need to have a MetroCard to ride the train. You can simply tap your Visa credit card to get on and off the train. The cost is $0.35. It’s best to take the train to get to the mall and then take an Uber back when you have all your heavy bags.
3. Make sure you download the map of the mall on your phone as, from what I could see, there are no directories stations posted within the mall. The mall is large and you can spend a lot of time just trying trying to find the store you want to visit. The map makes it much easier. I recommend doing some research on the website to discover the stores and what they specialize in. Also watch review videos on TikTok and make a list of the stores you want to get to, as it is almost impossible to browse every store in the mall unless you have a few weeks to spend here.
4. Be prepared to leave any large bags you bring into the mall with a bag storage agent has most of the large stores like El Costo and Titan do not allow you to bring anything larger than an over the shoulder purse or fanny pack into their stores. This actually works out well as you won’t have to lug your roller bag or a large backpack through the stores while shopping and the entire process is secure, but there can sometimes be long lines to turn in or retrieve the bags from the storage area.
5. If you’re visiting the mall with friends, it is very likely that you won’t want to spend a lot of time in the same stores depending on your shopping lists . Be sure to set up a prearranged meeting point and time for lunch or when you’re ready to leave.
6. For all my English-speaking friends, it’s helpful to learn a little Spanish before you go to the mall and to Panama altogether. Some of the workers in the mall will speak a little English, but most will speak Spanish only and you will have a much better shopping experience if you learn a little Spanish. You can also use Google translate and some of the store workers will use it to communicate with you if they don’t speak English but you can save yourself a lot of time by learning a few basic shopping phrases like how to ask for your size and how to order your food .
7. Finally, when purchasing from some of the more budget, friendly stores, like El Costo and Titan, check the clothes carefully to make sure the size on the price tag matches the size sewn into the clothing. Also check for defects as the reason some of these clothes are priced so low is because they were not perfectly made. The stores also have fitting rooms where you can try on Items before you purchase them and this comes in really handy as well.

Well, if you like shopping malls and you're staying in Panama City, there's no harm in taking a quick trip on the metro to the end of the line an checking out Albrook Mall.
Basically, it's your typical 2 story mall, but it's quite long... we didn't see anything particularly noteworthy at Albrook Mall, but we weren't there for shopping anyway...just to look around since we wanted to take a look at the Albrook Bus Terminal anyway while we were in town.
To get to the mall, all you need to do is take the metro (Line 1) in the direction of Albrook Station ($0.35). When you exit the metro, just follow the line of people up the stairs/escalator and across the walkway to the bus terminal ground floor. Simply pass through from the one side to the other and you'll see an entrance to the mall across the road. When you enter the mall, take note of the letter, color, and/or animal that represents the entry so you can find your way back out! We happened to enter at "R," which was a Purple Rhinocerous.

As an American tourist, I was hoping to experience some non-West commercialized moments. I was very disappointed. Even the eateries at the mega-size food court offered very little 'Panamanian/local' food experience. The mall opens at 10:00 a.m., but many of the eateries at the food court advertise their opening hours to be way before 10:00 a.m. You tried to enter the mall before 10:00? Armed guards will stop you. Confusing to say the least. I have decided to stick with 'real' local stores and eateries throughout the city, instead.

Albrook Mall is the largest Mall in Panama. It is huge! The entire length of the mall is equal to seven football fields.
Planning to get some exercise? This is a great place to go walking. Walking from one end to the other will take half a day's time.
Albrook Mall is a great place to shop, stay, or plan your travels while in Panama City.
At one end is the newly opened Panama Marriott Hotel. (Read our separate review of the hotel here on Trip Advisor.)
The National Bus Terminal is connected to the Mall on the second floor. It is also very easy to cross the street on the ground floor. The Bus Terminal is where you will catch transportation to any other location in Panama and even to the Frontera (Costa Rica Border). There is also one bus that comes from Costa Rica.
The sad part of this review is reporting how many storefronts have closed inside of the Mall. This was the result of the pandemic. Slowly, but surely, new businesses are opening up.
Even with the closures, there are more than enough places to find whatever it is you are looking for.
For those traveling from the interior, get off the bus and spend a night at the Panama Marriott Hotel.
Want to explore Panama City... The Panama Metro (Line 1) is connected to the bus station. Just take the escalator up to walk over the busy Corredor Norte and then take the escalators down to the metro line.
If Panama is the "Bridge that connects the Americas" then Albrook Mall is the "Bridge that connects Panama City".
Travel, shopping, eating, and even staying at a hotel is all possible within this one structure.

Very good, somewhat suffocating, go willing to walk like never before to find good deals.
Anyway, you find everything at affordable prices and the highest also, ALWAYS ask for offers
Recommended to enter the Door of the Goose and finish at the dinosaur door.
Update: some stores do not charge sales tax when showing passport!

We were there for a while when we returned from Miraflores Center as it was a must since the bus from Miraflores left us there and right there we had to take the metro to return to the hotel.
We had lunch there (there are lots of food places at affordable prices) and walked around the shops for a while. There are everything, expensive branded clothes and also businesses with good price offers. I wasn't intending to buy anything, we just walked for a while and left. It is a nice walk to entertain after visiting the canal, or to escape for a while from the city a day of rain or excessive heat.

We were told that it is the largest mall in Central America and maybe it is true because it is immense and in one day you do not finish visiting all its stores.
There are countless brands.
Food court
Games for kids
Barbershops
The corridors are wide.
In some stores if you pay cash they improve your price
