It was a great experience. It´s perfect to see and to know the Canal. You see huge ships, but you also have to wait a long time to pass through.

I did this tour about a month ago and booked it independently - directly with panama Marine adventures. The trip was $150 for the partial transit - though I think it is on Viator for $135. Our tour started from the Flamenco Marina off the Amador cuaseway (easy to take a taxi - around $10-$15). The check in is at... More

I never really "got" the Panama Canal - it's a canal! How cool can it be? Turns out it is way cool! I had just read the excellent book, Path Between the Seas by David McCullough, so I began our 6 hour tour with new-found interest. Seeing the canal function while enclosed in the lock with a giant tanker ship... More

This is the best tour I have ever done. Fantastic way to see the canal. I went in early to mid May . Very few people on the boat. Excellent commentary in English and Spanish. I did the partial northbound morning trip. Could be very crowded in high season but you could still get great views because you go into... More

I did the Panama Canal Partial Day Tour with friends. The tour lasted about 6 - 7 hours. The narrater was very good. It was really an eye-opener into the operation of the canal and it's importance in our everyday lives. Being on the ferry gave you an interesting perspective of the operation and the size of the ships passing... More

We took the full passage boat tour through the Panama Canal on April 16, 2016. Panama Marine Adventures is one of only two companies that run boat tours through the canal. If you sign up with other touring companies, you end up on PMA or its only competitor for your actual boat trip. First, the PMA tour is very well... More

We have done this tour several times with friends and business clients, and we ahave enjoyed it every time. Our last time was with Jo who was one of the best tour guides we have had in Panama. His knowledge was thorough, and we learned even more than we had after being on the same tour several times. Every time... More

We had Panamanian friends book this tour prior to our arrival in Panama. This tour was absolutely terrific. We were bused to the ship from the Flamenco Resort. This is about an hour ride to Gamboa. Once on board the ship we headed south. We sat on the very front of the ship, which is uncovered. There were plenty of... More

We booked this excursion through our hotel which consist of the Partial transit from Flamenco Marina to Gamboa. It also included transportation from our hotel which cost about $180 plus tax per person and you pay the driver who picks you up. I did have to ask the hotel which company they used as I wanted to give a great... More

We did the south tour - taxi to Flamenco Marina, then bus to Gamboa, onto the Pacific Queen where we then went through the 3 locks back to the Pacific Ocean. Very informative and an overall good experience. With taxi fare to the causeway and back, the total was $320.00 USD for two people. The lunch on board was tasty... More
