I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in visiting Panama to book a tour with Barefoot Panama. My family did multiple tours with Kevin O'Brien and Gonzo including the Panama Canal, Casco Viejo, Zip-Lining, snorkeling in the Caribbean, Portobello, Monkey Island, Indian Village, Santa Catalina (snorkeling & fishing), and El Valle. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and personable. They... More

Being the first time to Panama with two of my friends (7/16). Barefoot Panama is an excellent local tour company for those who want to have a comphrehensive history of Panama. Kevin is a great guy....I have been e-mail him back and forth so many times before the trip. He is excellent. He does not ge tire with my questions... More

We did Barefoot Panama's Tour of the Tropics. A one week tour visiting Panama City, El Valle, Santa Catalina and Boquete. Kevin O'Brien (the owner) and his tour guides, Gonzo and Nico, were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and highly entertaining, making their tours fun and memorable. Each day was full of activities (even more than what was listed in our itinerary).... More

An ideal first day tour of Panama City. Covers all the main attractions and our guide Gonzo was very knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about Panamá. I had missed out on a transit tour with another company the day before and the information he gave us on the Canal combined with his tips on the Miraflores Locks were very helpful.... More

I think my Title says it all. The folks from BFP were on time, informative and courteous just like how the best tour guides should be. Booking online was smooth, was picked up and dropped off at my hotel, no issues whatsoever. Tour guides in far off places for me are your only source of local connection, and these guys... More

Our group has gone snorkeling twice with Barefoot Panama. This year we opted for the Lake Gataun tour, visit to monkey island, ending at the floating house. From there we went fishing and kayaking. We had a great time. The monkeys were awesome and our guides were great. It was fun to actually be on the Panama Canal and to... More

One can tell a lot about a company by interaction with the person running it. Our interaction with Kevin, the owner, was excellent. He was extremely professional, yet friendly, and it was apparent that he was interested in my wife, children, and I having the best possible experience. Attitude in a company flows downhill from the top, and everyone we... More

We recently booked two tours with Barefoot Panama. Our first tour was led by the owner, an American by the name of Brian. It was interesting to hear about Panama from the point of view of a transplant. He had a great personality and made things fun. The tour was very good. We learned a lot about the old city... More

I inquired with several companies for Panama Canal Partial Transit tours, but decided to book with Barefoot Panama for several reasons, and I was not disappointed. Kevin was ultra responsive to my initial and follow up email inquiries, and he delivered exactly as he promised. I had read several reviews of people who took canal transit tours who were not...
