I have lived in Costa del Este for almost 5 years and have seen it almost double in size. It has also gotten very expensive to live here. The rent has skyrocketed recently. I am not sure why because it seems there are so many...More

For many foreigners such as myself Costa del Este is a huge surprise in what a civilized latin American country has to offer. It’s a wealthy, busy, eclectic, moving business machine. It offers something for everyone from the inexpensive to the expensive ‘must haves’. Plenty...More

We drove around Costa del Este looking for a place to eat lunch. Area is well kept and has a Miami Vibe to it. We found varies places with healthy food on their menu. That is a plus for me!!! If I ever move to...More

Panama City is an old urban center; Costa del Este is all brand new, high end, and wealthy. Quite the interesting contrast. Costa del Este is a mix of high rise condo buildings, exclusive gated single home neighborhoods, fancy malls and free standing shops. Interesting...More

We were there for some lunch but were impressed by the quality of the buildings, walkways and roadways. This seems to be the new “center” of the city. It is expanding and for good reason - it is a dramatic section demonstrating the new and...More

It started as a suburb but with the skyscraping condos and population density, business have followed and there is everything one needs - shops, restaurants, mini malls, drugstores, supermarkets. It's mind boggling how this has become a robust self contained community.

Ultra modern and sleek, this is a business haven for offices. Fast food stalls inside office buildings offer a lower price alternative to full-service restaurants.

The area itself is not worth travelling to but it's good to know that it's there--massive high condominiums, which we were told are owned mostly by ex-pats

We love it...wide sidewalks, great walking areas with lots of green, no wires...all underground here. Lived here for 12 years and watched it grow...now full of shops, malls, eateries, movie theatres...everything you need.
