We had thorough and accurate communication at the time of booking and again the day before the trip about what to expect. Drivers and boats were well coordinated, making a potentially confusing situation seamless. Everything about this experience was well-orchestrated.
We went to Chichime (or Wassidub) island. When you think of a tropical island, this is the place you’re thinking of. Soft, white sand, aqua water, palm trees. Staff on the island were accommodating to my shellfish allergy, making me a different meal anytime shellfish was on the menu.
Other reviewers note the trash on the island. Yes, garbage is a problem, but tourists are the source of most of that trash. Do your part and bring gallon jugs of water rather than buying many small bottles, and take your trash off the island with you. The Cabañas property is pristine, but you will see trash elsewhere if you walk around the island (20-30 minutes to lap the complete island).
Otherwise, be prepared to relax. There’s some snorkeling opportunity (although the current is strong), and ample opportunities to nap in the hammocks or on the warm sand. There’s no power during the day, and there’s no cell/internet, so your time here will force you to fully disconnect.

I just spent a two-week vacation in Panama relying on the organization of the trip to San Blas Dreams. I found them by chance on the web and I contacted them talking by email with Simone and Damiano always in Italian. They promptly responded and created a personalized ad hoc travel program respecting all my needs. I state that I like to travel and most of the time I have always organized myself, but this time I was happy to have relied on them as I already had very specific ideas on what to do. And all my demands have been fully met. It was a very tight tour with so many places to visit and so many experiences to do. We passed by the San Blas, where we stayed divinely and where I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Damiano who was right there to spend a few days. We then returned to Panama and after visiting the city with all that beautiful it has to offer we left with a car that they booked me for the Pacific coast. The car was brand new practically we drove it first. After taking a tour with a punctual and perfect organization in the Coiba archipelago we left for Boquete where other beautiful experiences awaited us. Our trip then ended again in Panama where , thanks to their suggestion, we could live another wonderful experience getting to know the Embera community and a suggestive journey in the jungle with a canoe. What about., I will return to Italy with my mind full of beautiful memories and with my heart full of joy for having been able to spend unforgettable moments of a holiday that has enriched me in the depths of my soul. All this was possible thanks to the ever-present assistance of Damiano and Simone and the perfect organization of San Blas Dreams. There was no problem to solve, everything went smoothly, all the schedules respected and the guides who accompanied us were very kind, competent and considerate. Thank you so much for everything. Amazing islands but no organisation. We booked the 4 day 3 night trip which was shown to have tours on day 1,2 and 3. We understood that these could be changed around depending on the weather but what we didn't expect was to just not do some of the tours. We did only 3 out of 5 and nothing was communicated to us on why we would not do the other tours. We were simply told that you did the tours even though we didn't. We have no English speaking "guide" over 3 of the days so even our trip to the guna community was a walk around the area for maybe 15 minutes before getting back on the boat with no information. We know the tours were not guided but at least the ability to give us information on what tours were being done, tour schedules, food schedules anything at all really would of been better than what was offered. The company seems to offer a strict no refund policy (we did not ask for one) based off people we met on the islands who eere having the same issues with no getting all their tours or information on tours.

As our assistance via WhatsApp has already explained to you, I will try to explain it to you again by responding to your appreciated review:
1. All San Blas tours are NOT guided, this is explained on our website, unfortunately at the moment only 5% of Guna guides speak English, this is also explained on our webpage.
2. The tour (SAN BLAS ISLAND HOPPING • GUNA COMMUNITY) was carried out completely, the tours were simply reversed due to weather issues:
On the first day we visited Anmardub Island, Natural Pool and Pelicano Island, where you slept.
On the second day we visited Perro Chico Island and Pelicano Island (the other Pelicano Island), in the afternoon we visited the Guna Community and arrived on Ina Island (where you slept).
On the third day, transfer to Aroma Island, where you slept.
So the tour was done just as described on our web page.

The car in which you travel has 5 seats, there were 6 of us both going there and coming back, obviously if you end up in the middle seat like me, you will arrive crushed.
The driver I had both to go and return was kind and professional, and by the way, he was the same and now I don't remember his name.
In my opinion, the price of the tour is very expensive for what is given to you, lunch is included. I recommend that you bring food because what they give you for lunch is very little. In my case it was a cold mini fish with white rice and a some coleslaw plus a drink to choose between purified water and/or Coca Cola, that is all you will eat at 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. when you arrive at your accommodation. It was not possible to buy any food on any of the 3 islands they took me to.
Total tour price 130 dollars + 23 dollars entrance tax.

With respect to the organizing company, everything is correct. They were friendly at all times, punctual when picking up, although the space in the 4x4 is quite tight, it is acceptable. As Islands, they are spectacular. The water is an impressive turquoise color, snorkeling there is even more so and the idea of being on an island in the middle of the sea is amazing, but I would only recommend going to spend the day, enjoying the wonderful views, taking the excursions. , take millions of photos and return to the city. I am used to sleeping in less luxurious places, but the accommodation on the islands has no name, since it is a total scam. They charge you a fortune to sleep like in a shanty town, everything dirty and quite left behind and, mind you, I understand that it is their way and I accept it but then they should charge according to what they offer and that way there would be no complaints. But $500 for a school cafeteria meal, without a drink, and for those facilities seems like an abuse to me. Then they tell you to bring a cooler with water and some drinks, but then they don't want to provide you with ice so you can buy the drinks from them, so it is absurd for you to bring it. For each drink they force you to buy, since they don't give you a drink with lunch or dinner, it's $2. And finally, the attitude that the Kuna Yala have towards visitors also leaves a lot to be desired, and in my case they were not entirely unpleasant, but I did see quite rude attitudes towards other tourists who were there. In short, they charge you like a 5 star resort, but what you get is facilities for at most $20 a night. The biggest problems are at the organization level, I thought that as it said on the website I would pay the rest of the tour. But the truck driver charged me one thing, then at the port they charged me another, higher than what was pending. In the end I ended up paying more and the person who charged me at the port never gave me the change back, having money to make change (4 dollars). At lunch they didn't give us a drink, not even water.
Then on the way back we went back in a van, run over because there was no room for our legs, all those hours of traveling like that, it was horrible, I definitely wouldn't do it again and I don't recommend it either.
The places are very nice and you will see them with any company, the added value should be the organization and that failed.

San Blas is a unique experience, and even though we had a fair bit of rain, it was a beautiful and enjoyable trip. (Given the weather, though, three nights would have been preferable over the four nights.)
Part of the experience is to just go with the flow. As we don't know any Spanish we never knew what was happening next and were/when we were going and everything else related to our stay (every island has its own system). Things would usually start an hour later (or before!) what's listed and as no one knows English you just have to accept a lot of waiting and missing out.
I still find the Kuna people who run the show pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. What I still don't understand is what one is paying San Blas Dreams as a n operator for. Here is the financial breakdown for a family of 4:
- USD 1200 on the first island which I assume is distributed among the various families/islands that host you.
- USD 60 per person to the driver
- USD 23 per person in tourist tax / entry fee
Upon booking, we paid San Blas Dreams USD 640 and I hope some of that money makes it out to the islands, to the ones where the actual heavy lifting is done.
Things to note before booking with San Blas Dreams:
- When you max out with "Ultimate" and "Private", you're still assigned the absolute lowest tier of accommodation (dorm) when you arrive on Pelicano island. Private = semi-private. People booking with other operators have nice, actual private huts.
- I contacted them on Whatsapp the night before pickup with a few practical questions and specifically about the pick-up. They never replied.
- When we returned tired and ready to get back on the mainland, our names were not on any lists for being driven back to town. (A nice driver was luckily able to cram us into a car).
I would go again, but book with a different operator.

Thank you again for booking with us and for your valuable feedback, which we truly appreciate. We are happy that you enjoyed the beauty and nature of the San Blas Islands and their people. However, we are sorry that your experience was not entirely satisfactory.
I would like to clarify that, as mentioned on our website, in the "Ultimate Tour" package, the only available accommodations are shared dorms and private rooms. Private cabins with en-suite bathrooms are not included in this tour, as they are only available in our classic tours. Since the "Ultimate Tour" is a more adventurous experience, we focused on keeping costs low by offering simpler accommodations rather than prioritizing comfort. The phrase "Our Exclusive Tour" is intended to highlight that this is a tour exclusively designed and organized by us, exactly as it has been conceived. It in no way aims to emphasize exclusivity in terms of "luxury" or similar notions, which, as we remind you, do not exist in the San Blas Islands.
Regarding the other guests you mentioned, they also booked with us but chose different types of cabins with private bathrooms, as part of completely different tours. Therefore, these should not be compared.
By checking the WhatsApp chat with you, we realized that we didn’t respond to some of your questions in a message you sent us at 4:00 PM on December 28th. We are available from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Regarding the return transportation, the San Blas Islands are served by three different ports, and our cars are shared with up to six passengers. When you arrived at the port, the vehicle was at another port picking up other customers, and it came to you immediately after.

I fell in love with Panama from some photos seen on the net so by chance, but from Italy I found practically nothing in agencies, they advised against the destination and proposed the “usual” Caribbean seen and reviewed. So I started obstinately trying to do it myself, I had the flight but I missed the whole structure of the trip! Here I came across the site of San Blas Dream, nothing could have happened better. Special mention to Simone who helped me build this dream with every Recommendation, always present before, during and after the Reservation. Great choice of Panama City hotel, very central and well served. Tour to the San Blas wonderful, exactly as we expected and as they described it without ever lying about what we would be facing. Excellent on-site assistance, even out of their tour shift with us, the escorts were always available on the phone for any Recommendation.

San Blas is a paradise but unfortunately very poorly managed by the Guna.
The head of the island is rude and unpleasant, he treats tourists terribly, every time you ask for something and they have to get up from the hammock, they just spit on you to let you know that you are bothering them. The only one who smiles at all is the lady who cooks.
The cabins and the rest of the island are quite neglected, taking into account that they have all day to fix the 2 wooden chairs that are on the island, paint the cabins and put them up with a minimum of taste since they are charging you on average $200 a night.
Additionally, they want to charge you extra for everything. If you want to see the island in front (even though it is 100m away), you have to pay extra, if you want to leave later, you pay extra, if you want anything, everything, pay extra.
Anyway, I think that Panama has other places just as nice where they don't treat you badly and you don't leave a fortune to pay for your stay in a neighborhood.

There are a lot of Palm trees where you can cover yourself from the sun in San Blas, if you really need to cover form the sun and be next to the sea is better to take your umbrella with you and use sun proteccion, thanks
