Do not support the regime of Ortega
Jun 2018 • Friends
I love this place. However, by visiting this place you are contributing to the the regime of Ortega-Murillo, and participating of the "everything is ok in Nicaragua" that they want to sell.

V.G. Lightening System = In the Night much better = 5.1/10
Mar 2019 • Solo
- In between lake at N. & Park & Sq. at S. ... Can find a little of People in the Morning appear at Night.
- Difficult to walk due no (Streets Name Signage like Panama City.pa) ... A little are Walking & Public Bus have the cheapest Ticket in the world (I think that) = Fixed Price = NIC 2.5 less than 0.1 USD
- Not Important ... Limit Attractions ... Like all Central America (Except maybe Costa Rica).
- The People of Country are V.G.: You can go to see or same catogory like the people in: US + S.E. Asia + East EU

It's okay
Jan 2019 • Solo
It's an okay place for a short visit and the buildings on the square are somewhat interesting. There is also a memorial park to the Sandinista heroes on the west side. Parking is very easy and there is a big and free lot on the east side right beside the Palace of Culture.

You have to visit it
Oct 2018 • Solo
If you're in the city, you must visit here. Not particularly magnificent but a great deal of history.

Visit during the Night
Apr 2018 • Friends
At night, the Plaza is lighted and you can easily park and walk around. See the Cathedral, the Museum and enjoy just being there.

Worth a quick visit
Mar 2018 • Couples
The Plaza is home to the wrecked but beautiful cathedral, the former National Assembly building, and a memorial to heroes of the revolution. It is a worthy, of quick stop, on a city tour of Managua.

Really the only thing to see in Managua
Feb 2018 • Solo
You can do this in 10 minutes. The cathedral is really cool - closed because of an earthquake, but you can still see the bullet holes from the last stand of the revolution.
Helpful to have a guide with you to explain the history.
