Beautiful drive but still closed for construction. Who knows how long it will be. Metal fence obstructs the view so you can’t see anything. Didn’t see anyone working while I was there so this may be a long time before it reopens. Lots of nice little towns on the way.

We went and hoped the construction was complete, but it is not. We asked in one of the pupusa places and they said that it wouldn't be done until next year (summer of 2020?) So, looks like a cool hike but definitely ask around before making the trip out there!

I went to Puerta del Diablo today since I was told the construction work should have been finished. It is not. The security man there couldn't tell me when they will open again. To avoid disappointment, ask someone before you go. ;-) In general bus 12 will take you there for 0.35 USD. The buses depart in 6 Calle Poniente / Avenida Cuscatlan (close to Palacio Nacional).…

This place had a breathtaking view of the city from the top... It was scary getting up there because of the winding roads and fog but we made it... There isn't really any barriers it is pretty natural so hike at your own risk... They did have some type of ziplining going from one of the massive rocks to the other side... It is a must to visit while here...There are vendors that sell food and other trinkets that you can bring back home..…
