How one likes art is personal, and this place didn't do much for me. There is no English which makes it hard for non-Spanish speakers to follow. $1.50 entrance fee. An hour or less will do it. Some of the pieces are not displayed or lit well.

My family and I enjoyed the museum. Too bad it was 30 minutes before closing! From what I got to view, it was a diverse selection of modern art and traditional. Highly recommend it! I think the fee was one dollar per person.

El Salvador has been known for its excellence in the production of coffee beans, later known in the newspapers for its horrific civil war, now also positions itself in the art world!
The museum has a lot of artwork but unfortunately, all the descriptions are available only in Spanish. The souvenir shop is very small and we did not find any interpretations of the paintings such as postcards or magnets.

This is not the biggest art museum in the world, but it is an extremely interesting collection. The museum has a great collection of Salvadoran art, and was a unique look into the Civil War. This along with Romero's tomb is a must see stop when in San Salvador.

Not a huge place, but it definitely has some great works. It's always great to see more of the history and experiences of the people of El Salvador. I'd recommend visiting if you get a chance!

Small but very accessible museum with an interesting collection. Not sure if it was a permanent exhibit but we saw a very informative exhibit of the history of Salvadorian art with examples through many time periods and movements of art. Can be done in an hour or so...

They had a great exhibit of local artists as well as an amazing Dali exhibit on Dante! Reaonably priced. The information was all in Spanish, but even with limit language skills we could understand much of the written info. Can't recall the exact price but not expensive at all, a few dollars.

Entrance to the art collection is only $1.50 but the art inside is interesting. When I was there a pop art insulation was presented and 3d glasses were provided which made my visit different to another other art museum I have visited. It is however small so don't plan to spend an entire morning there.

The museum has a restaurant that you may want to try. Different ambiance than the typical restaurant in the area. Quiet and well appointed, great service, good for dinning or for a sit down coffee.

Is it suitable for the handicapped you mean? Yes, the museum has a lower part and the main floor which, if I'm not mistaken, has a ramp as well. There might be an elevator too, you could call the Museum and find out, they will be glad to confirm ☺️
