Parque Nacional El Boqueron is a small place, but the view is unique. It also offers a small museum where children can learn more about volcanos and about El Boqueron activity in the last century.

It's a nice place to see the crater of the volcano. It's not a tough walk or hike, in 10 minutes you're at the top looking into the crater. It's got a lot of steps.

An exciting adventure to climb those steps and finally reach an amazing view of an inactive volcano where you can relax, breeze clean air and marvel at the green beauty of it all!

We drove up the side of this volcano, stopping in a coffee shop with nice.views of San Salvador city and environs. The volcano itself has another smaller crater at the base, and apparently El Salvador has many volcanoes dotting the country.

I am not really sure you can get there by public transportation. A taxi might charge you at least USD 20.00 each way
