As I have traveled I have been a lot of churches and this is one of the most memorable. The contrast between the outside and inside could not have been more striking. The colors from the windows were so beautiful as they reflected off the walls. The stations of the cross were so different and so poignant. This church is... More

This church is very unique in style. The stained glasses are magical. The decoration of the wall is very symbolic and religious. Must be visited.

Based on outside look, you may have no interest to go inside. But once we walked in, it was magical. Definitely a must visit in San Salvador

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but man is it beautiful when you walk through the front doors. There's quite a history with the church too, so make sure you either read up on it or hire a guide to tell you the stories. Very worth a trip.

El Salvador is a place where you can find different cultural sites. El Rosario Church is one of them. Inside the Church a spirit of memories from the past comes out remembering the social reality of a developing country. Salvadoran people deserve justice and solidarity and el Rosario Church shows how much people pray in getting it.

A non-descript church from the outside, hard to find in the maze of streets in San Salvador, but once you are inside, you will be stunned by the sunlight shining through the coloured glasses which are arranged in geometric shapes. The Altar is of a new type without any decorations but that gives a new dimension to the modern art... More

Went to the church with a small tour group. From the exterior it looks a bit nondescript...windows on angled roof. Interesting but ???. Once inside (during the day) you see the beautiful natural light coming thru the colored glass windows. Really neat. Then a walk around the stations of the cross (catholic reference) is remarkable. The 'stations' are works of... More

Like all others, stunned by the inside of this church versus the outside. It's amazing how the stained glass shines when the sun hits it. I'm not a religious person at all but found the inside of the church very warm and welcoming. There's a section of the church that has beautiful pieces of art done with rebar. Very lovely... More

Went in evening so we couldn't see stained glass in all God's glory. It is truly moving. Also the stations of the Cross were fantastic, with a unique presentation. You MUST go here if you are a person of faith, and are visiting San Salvador.
