Our guide Alex proved to be very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and clearly cared for the subject. He also had a lot of nice stories. Safety was taken seriously which was good. Considering a revisit to visit inside the powerplant.

I was a solo traveler from Australia and I visited Chernobyl in February 2020, I booked a 3 day tour with Alex and I can assure people who are interested in visiting the zone of Chernobyl that Alex will make it one to remember Alex is extremely passionate about Chernobyl, every question I had he had the answer for and explained in great detail and for those worried about health and safety, Alex is strongly reliable on ensuring person/s on his tour are kept away from danger. I'll confidently say that I felt as tho he was like a well known celebrity within the zone, so many local people and workers within the zone knew him, even the people at the Power Plant and as a surprise I was shown an electronic display of the power plant which Alex himself constructed and while on tour he was working on another display which will be going in the power plant once completed, one of his many talents. Alex arranged for his driver to pick me up in their van from my hotel in Kiev, his driver was very nice and a very good driver he knew precisely where all locations were and made the driving route very comfortable. In visiting the zone I thought that Pripyat was the main site to see but Alex recommended on taking me to several other areas within the zone which I am glad I accepted as I was amazed how much more I got to see while at the same time I got to see what I wanted to. I can assure there is MUCH MORE to see than Pripyat and strongly recommend you take Alex's advice in showing you what he thinks are worth seeing. Every moment of the tour I felt very comfortable and safe with Alex, while on tour I got to meet his wife who is also passionate about Chernobyl and very knowledgeable, at the end of each day we drove a few km's out of the zone to pick her up and we all had dinner at a very nice restaurant in a small town then stayed in an ex research base used by officials conducting research on the disaster, they were like little cabins in the woods and were fully equipped and the bed was very comfortable. At nighttime Alex and his wife got together with me and we had discussions on Chernobyl, Alex showed me very interesting archives he also put on some movies which was on an old school projector machine which I thought was heaps cool. Alex has quite a lot of things in his collection linked to Chernobyl that I felt were a total bonus to see, one of them being his museum (Must see) there were actual props that were used in the disaster time. I was sad to be finishing up the tour it wasn't only because I had an unbelievable experience in seeing Chernobyl in real life but because Alex, his wife and their driver made me feel like I was apart of their group and not just a client. Prior to travelling, I emailed quite a few other tour companies and I confidently say Alex and his team at ChernobylLab were the stand out, anything I wanted to know or ask Alex was by far the most helpful and professional and most of all trustworthy, he organised everything for me there was nothing I needed to worry about soon as I got to Kiev prior to the tour, he even gave me tips on some exciting things to see in Kiev and suggested which local sim card to get so I could use my phone to contact people back home in Australia. Big Thank You to Alex and his team at ChernobylLab, hope to see you all again

Hi there Thank you very much for your warm words. As I often say, all this place is about feelings, thinking and learning. And on this way it is very important a set up a person comes here with. For us it was a pleasure and honor to have such interested person as you! I hope to see you again too -- and take greetings from all our team!

I booked a one day tour to the exclusion zone for my boyfriend's surprise 30th trip. I was initially skeptical due to how nice and helpful Alex was prior to receiving any payment as this is not an experience I had with previously consulted commercial companies. In time I realised I had no reason to question this and quickly learned that he is very passionate about his job and keen to share his knowledge. Alex went above and beyond to make this a special gift for my boyfriend and was so friendly when he met us for our private tour. Throughout the day he shared his knowledge of the area (from before the power plant to the present day). He welcomed questions and maneuvered the tour to personalise this for us. When talking to the driver in their native language he would translate and ensure that all information was shared so we did not miss out on any information. The experience we received from Alex was remarkable from start to finish and I'm so happy we booked with Chernobyllab. I would highly recommend Alex and the team to anyone considering going to the exclusion zone. We hope to return for the NPP tour in the near future and wouldn't hesitate in booking with this company.

What we do is not for money, but for passion. Many, many, many years ago I also have been here a visitor, and personally experienced how important is a proper set up given by a guide. So, I am happy to keep this approach, so you can feel the same what I did in the past -- touch of a completely new reality that you can find only here, in the Zone. We will be happy to see you again and definitely will make something interesting for you in future.

For those wanting a Chernobyl experience which is a little different to the usual guided tours that are on offer then Alex is your man. Alex agreed to take myself and my son on a private tour and arranged to pick us up from our Hotel and spent the day with us. Whilst Chernobyl is fascinating people tend to forget the social cost of this tragic event and Alex was very informative and respectful. For those wanting a more personal experience then I would definitely recommend Alex and his team.

The Zone goes way more far than its physical border; it is very much about social and cultural aspects, that created a phenomenon of post-Chernobyl life. I really appreciated your interest in this! Surely hope to see you again here!
