We went to 'Locked' on Sunday evening while spending a few days in Kiev! The location was pretty tricky to find but we eventually found it, were introduced to Lena, who was our host and spoke excellent English and we were ready to go!
The standard of rooms here was brilliant! We did the 'Police Cell' task and it really did test us on a number of levels but we achieved it with a few minutes to spare! These are great ways to spend an hour and so much cheaper to do when on the continent than back in the UK when they can be really expensive! Keep up the great work :-)

We visited Vzaperti quest called ROVD (Police station). It was our second experience of escape-quests in Kyiv and we liked it.
The quest was pretty interesting and well-paced. The nature of activity requires no spoilers, but I can say it's better to go there if you are in purely male or at least mixed company, since at least a part of it is for "male" thinkng or skills.
The quest has a central location (10 min.walk from either Lva Tolstoho or Olympiyska metro stations) so after quest there are a lot of choices of places to eat and celebrate your success or drwon your shame ;-)

Escape rooms started to spring out in European cities after the first such attraction appeared in Budapest, Hungary. When it finally reached Ukraine, my friends and I decided to try it, as it was a new thing to do, not many people knew about it, and it seemed like a good alternative to well known and now standard attractions like bowling, go-carts, pubs.
Basically, they lock you in a room, and you are studying all the objects there to find hints on how to get out of the room. A real quest! It was so much fun! And it's also a great team building exercise as some tasks you have to perform as a team.
Highly recommend it!

Played 2 games over 2 days, with the Samurai game first followed by the Matrix game. Both games were excellent with some very different and interesting puzzles that even experienced players of escape rooms will find challenging. If you're a fan of the Matrix you'll absolutely love that game as it's very faithful to the theme!

I am a big escape lover (40+ games escaped), it all started in Kyiv, Ukraine. Vzaperti is a great chain of quest rooms with reasonable prices and convenient locations. In addition, employees speak English, so you won't feel out of the game. All the clues inside the rooms are either in Russian and English, or you don't need the text to solve something. You book it online and then pay before the game in cash or by card. The price is great! The best rooms I would recommend are: Se7en; Time Machine, Boardwalk Empire, Postapocalypse.

It was a great quest with many technical details (FBI). But most of all the team of the quest was impressive. They were watching us all the time through the cameras so when we asked for help we didn't have to explain much; they spoke well English and when we've finally opened the door, they came out to greet us with magnets saying "I was vzaperti and came out". I would highly recommend to everyone (couples, friends, colleagues). According to Vzaperti team it's one of the most difficult quests, only 20 % do come out. So if you are looking for a challenge it's this way

After playing lots of rooms around the world I'd say that this chain is one of the best (considering Ukraine's overall level). Most of the rooms follow the same logic, starting from very easy (but good) rooms, and then evolving to rooms with plot twists, mechanics, non-trivia riddles, sound effects, etc. Every next room is generally better than the previous one. I can range them as 1st tier rooms, which are rather simple in terms of mechanics and riddles, that opened a year ago and 2nd tier, which are more advanced. Hence my personal (!) rating of the rooms are:
1st tier:
Police department - 5 out of 5 (visited in summer 2014)
Artist's dream - 5/5 (summer 2014)
Laboratory - 5/5 (summer 2014)
Cinema 4/5 (summer 2014)
Pharaon's tomb - 2/5 (winter 2014)
2nd tier:
FBI - 5/5 (winter 2015)
Post-apocalypse - 4/5 (winter 2015)
Boardwalk empire - 4/5 (spring 2015)
Overall experience is very good, strongly recommended for beginners and advanced players.
P.S. I strongly believe all the stuff speak English, and in several rooms I noticed bilingual options, however ask availability in English.
P.P.S. I will follow this chain further on and will play further rooms.

We did the VR which was cool! however it only took 30min, half the time its supposed too, the quest was far to easy.
then we did "lost and found" and that was SO BAD. Our friend was a little nauseous and went out and then they didnt want to let him back in!! They even said "the others dont want you to come back" !?!?!? That was horrible!!!
The room mechanics didnt always work which lost us a lot of time and the microphone to talk with the personel was REALLY bad. it took us several minuites to understand them. they kicked us out at exactly 60min even though it was their fault we didnt get to do the whole quest.
NOT RECOMMENDED if you dont speak ukrainian.

Hi,
Just wanted to know if the escape room you've been in suitable for 9 people or we can split up?
also, if things inside are in russian or english?
Thanks
Ziv

Hi! You can chose the language. They have it available at both. We did in English and all was clear. And the team spoke English with us too. About the amount of people I guess nine is too much. Would be better if you split. And I guess this room is limited by 4 or 6 people. They have the info on the official website. We had a really great time so hope you will enjoy it too
