My experience with CHERNOBYLwel.come was fantastic. I had decided to go on a solo tour because I had been to Chernobyl once before, and I wanted to focus my second visit on specific areas and avoid returning to other ones. In addition, I wanted to have ample time to fly my drone during the visit. The team responded quickly to all my questions, did all the paperwork so I would be able to fly my drone, and connected me with a guide (Nataly). They set up a Zoom call with her so I could discuss what I wanted to do during my visit. Nataly gave me precise information on where I would be able to fly my drone, and what sites I could see from each location. She also told me which buildings I would be able to see from the outside only vs. those were it was possible to go inside. On the day of the tour, Nataly and the driver picked me up from my hotel. The vehicle, a Mercedes minivan, was very comfortable to ride in. Nataly gave me some great general information about Chernobyl and Pripyat during the trip, and she explained what would happen at each checkpoint. Because it was a solo tour, the process for going through the checkpoints was fast. We spent 30 minutes at the Shipyard (one of the sites I had picked to fly my drone), and then headed to the Duga Radar, a truly amazing site where we spent one hour. Nataly had some awesome stories about Duga and I got some fantastic drone shots. We spent the rest of the day in Pripyat, with the first few hours dedicated to flying my drone by the Ferris Wheel. When I was done flying, Nataly took me on foot to several sites, including the supermarket, hotel, movie theater and café. She also took me to a few sites that were unexpected, which was great: a vehicle graveyard and a former day-care center with some really eerie rooms. What made the trip so special was that Nataly knows Pripyat inside and out, and it's obvious she's passionate about the history and exploration of the sites. She can take you to locations off the usual beaten path and give you a unique experience. I would highly recommend a solo tour with CHERNOBYLwel.come and specifically with Nataly as your guide - you won't be disappointed!

You have lots of options for tour companies to chernobyl but this is the best company to go with. From pick up to drop off, they did a great job of making sure we saw chernobyl, the towns, the lunch, Duga radar etc. Company was on time for pick up, showed us everything, did not rush us, provided authentic Soviet lunch, and dropped us off in Kyiv Alina was my tour guide on May 9 2021 and she was very friendly, informative and really connected with us 5 stars.

Once in a lifetime experience! As part of a tour organised through UEA History Society, we went to one of the most historic places around today! The tour guides expertise was second-to-none and their safety measures reassured us the entire time. Amazing experience - I cannot wait to come back and do the experience again.

Hello Anton! Thank you very much for your review and warm words about your experience in Chernobyl with us. We are glad to hear that our guide made your adventure unforgettable and full of memories. We are sorry to hear about your illness and we sincerely hope you will recover soon. We would like to give your mind some peace with information, that your trip wasn't related to developing the illness. All the routes which guide leads the tourists during the tour are safe for the tourists and visitors of the Zone. During a day trip, you have received a dose of only 2-3 microsieverts, which is less than the radiation a person receives on a flight. We would like to note, that many people including guides, workers of the Power Plant and other employees move in the Zone for many years and they do not have problems with health. We take safety very seriously and always emphasize precaution measures and regular checks to make sure everything is all right during the visit. All the tourists receive the hoarder of radiation and after the tour employees of the Zone check the hoarders, also there is a dosimetric control - if you passed, it means that you did not receive radiation dose harmful for your health. You can also apply to the Ecological Centre of the Zone where they will provide your personal information according to your hoarder. Anton, we wish you to recover as soon as possible and hope to see you again in Ukraine. Take care. Dominik O

A very enriching visit, I've learnt a lot about this historic disaster thanks to Julia M, our tour guide for this visit. I wish I could stay a bit longer to go more in-depth about what the people who lived here went through during this terrible event, although the one-day visit was enough to understand some of the basics of life in Pripyat before the tragedy.
