Less attractive for tourists or city maps maybe, but we liked the interior design! Peaceful atmosphere.

One of my favorite church in my native city. It's really wonderful place. Cathedral is very old and famous. If you're in Kiev, you must visit this place. You can pray here and just look at Ukrainian orthodox religion.

Eye-catching with its yellow exterior and 7 blue domes in Byzantine style. Built in the 19th century to commemorate 900 years of Orthodox Christianity in the city. Quite dark but ethereal inside.

Most tourists seem to skip this cathedral as it's not on the 'tourist' trail. We loved coming across this one - they allowed photos and are friendly to tourist. A man was happy to explain things without asking for money, just because he like tourists...More

With all the churches to visit, this was my favourite. If you are a single lady, be sure to light a candle for St Barbara. Besides looking after artillerymen, she can also find you a husband within a year (apparently). I feel that Babs has...More

We spent a lot of time walking around Kiev looking at the fabulous churches they have. This was near to our hotel and thorough enjoyed looking at the artefacts that were in side. We purchased some love icons from here

We kept walking by St Cyril’s Monestary and finally took the time to go in.. it was gorgeous and they allowed photos! No head cover needed either. Felt very spiritual in the Monastery... the roof was a gorgeous view from the Hilton... awesome to wake...More

Definitely my favourite cathedral/church in Kiev. I love the domes which are blue with stars on, different to the all golden ones elsewhere. The inside is also nice, not too showy with mosaics done by masters from Venice.

I think it was about 50 UAH or so. But you could always ask someone from visitors to help you with translation, most young people in Kyiv speak English
