I really enjoyed visiting St. Andrew's church and making the walk down the descent. Along the walk, there were plenty of merchandise stands, shops and restaurants to fill your time.

Not sure if you are able to schedule a visit inside but this particular cathedral was under reconstruction when we were here. It can be seen from far off and is quite imposing in it's beauty.

As of the beginning of July 2016, the renovations are continuing. From the outside, the main part is free of scaffolding, but the secondary towers are covered, and there is no entrance. You can see enough to know that the exterior is beautiful - for the inside, I'll have to go to Kiev again.

Probably the greatest cathedral in Kiev. Would be great to visit once the construction, on and around is complete. Reccomended however as a walk and a nice viewpoint.

This orthodox church is a gem, situated on the top of the Andrevski spruce in the Podil area. It's a regular "working" church where services are being held. absolutely worth a visit!

Beautiful sample of Orthodox church. Romantic to say the least. Must see the church and the neighborhood. Street filled with artists displaying their fare: interesting, sometimes beautiful and cheap.

A fairly small church. Sadly, when we arrived it was closed for renovation -- but I did not regret coming there (about a 5 minute walking distance from St. Michael's), because the dome is colored with the most exquisite turquoise (the design itself is great too). A real gem!

Even with the renovation proceeding the church is a site to behold. From the bottom looks like it floating
