Great performance, in a beautiful building, and for a fraction of the cost you would pay in most capital cities.

Cannot understand comments about a building, if you want a building go to Odessa Opera house. If you want superb ballet come to Kiev and get a good seat at an unbelievable price of no more than £9.00 Read some history about the building but of course understand the story line for the Ballet. Nutcracker... cracked it for me!

Saw Romeo and Juliet ballet last week whilst on holiday, as it was less than £10 for pretty good seats for 3 of us (yep all 3 of us) and its a stunning building. Whilst I'm not a theatre/concert person normally, I really enjoyed it. The ballet was pretty good (I think anyway, first ever ballet) but it was the... More

Enjoyed not only the most beautiful Opera House in the world, but also Iolanta, the famous opera by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Pay a visit to this Opera House at any time. You will for sure be intrigued by the beauty of place and history

Very old theatre, one of the oldest. With classic exterior and interior. Masterpieces of world scene are in repertoire. Performances are in Ukrainian, Russian, French, Italian languages with subtitles over the stage. Theatre exists in the middle of Kyiv more then 150 years. Great big orchestra is always on top. Price per ticket depend on show. But normally it is... More
