Beautiful sights on this ample avenue, rich with architecture and a wide assortment of shops, restaurants and locales. Wether it's summer or winter, most activity in Kyiv revolves around the area.

The main street of Kiev. Closed for traffic on holidays. Full of shops, restaurants, people. Street artists are also amazing. Definitely must see in Kiev.

Its not as good as Old Town in Edinburgh or anywhere else in Europe. It is too commercialised and bad traffic situation here. If you want to see the real Ukraine it's the last place to come.

If you are visiting Kiew, this is the very last place from the list of main sights, that you should visit. It is ugly, lots of cars, nothing really interesting. Better apend this time in other pretty parts of the city.

Khreshchatyk Street is one of the mains streets in Kiev. There are a lot shops, restaurants and Cafes, and some government offices, too. The buildings along the street are reminding me the walk in some streets in Moscow, in a good way. They look well built, thick, strong, not colorful and warm in winter.

There are ALOT of malls dotted around the city. This is there Oxford Street equivalent which you will most likely walk down enroute to tourist sites. Sunday's the street is closed to vehicles and is pedistration-only, which is a change of the hustle & bustle. Lots of street artists, buskers and sellers. Keep an eye out for the glass dome-... This is one of the main streets in Kyiv, dual carriageway and large imposing Soviet style buildings on either side. It's probably better viewed while driving along in a car as the buildings are so big it takes some time to get past each one! But if you want to walk down the middle without traffic then come on the... More
