Extremely busy roundabout with a fountain in the middle. The traffic is nightmarish and the fountain is not working at the moment..

As Serbian, I can not be objective
But.. they tried to make some cosmopolitan square and I do not agree that this is the best solution.
I "washed" one photo from above, looks nicer ;)
TIP: for this view go at rooftop bar Hotel Slavija Garni

This was the views we had from the Hilton rooftop. The fountain definitely came to life at night with all the multiple colors. The Belgrade sign spelled in Serbian is also pretty cool!

Until 1880, there was a pond on this site - the area was the outskirts of Belgrade. Scottish entrepreneur Francis Mackenzie bought this land and built a house in 1910. After World War I, the area began to be built up.

This is an ugly looking square in the outskirts of Belgrade.
During the evenings, a lot of drunks gather in the square for some more drinks.
There's a decent fountain in the middle of the square.

I noticed that there are so many things listed in Tripadvisor.com under "Things to Do" that are not really attractions. One of them is this big square with lots of motor vehicles passing through.
I'm glad that I'm not driving here, Serbians appeared to be impatient drivers!

Although recently renovated, it did nothing to solve or prevent the immense traffic chaos which is daily occurance.

Although this is a famous square in Belgrade I don’t like it at all. Very ugly one. It was on our way to Saint Sava temple so we cross it, otherwise I recommend to skip it

Walked past this place on our way to St Sava's Temple. Our visit was during the Christmas - New Year period, the trees were decorated and looked pretty in the dark. There is a view on Music and Light fountain and also a big sign #БЕОГРАД (Belgrade in Serbian).
I think it's a brilliant touristic stop, especially in a winter-festive period.

The square is surrounded by a very busy and constant traffic stream that is busy from early in the morning till later in the night.
The square itself is pretty utilitarian and ugly and dirty. It has a Belgrade sign in it spelt in Serbian which was good, but as of most things that are not moving, it has a lot of graffiti on it which was detracting to it. Still got a photo of it.
Our hotel was right across the road from it. When going out in the night to get some food from a pizza place near it, you could see a lot of people drinking in the square which didn't add to the charm.
The fountain in the square wasn't working as it was winter.
You can also catch the A1 bus to the airport from a corner of the square.
