My husband and I went to the Cave for lunch with some friends on a Viking cruise. To get to the restaurant we had to go through the cave which was dark, wet, and narrow but the end result was amazing. No lights just candlelight and we had a different wine with each course of food. The owner did an explanation about each wine and what food went best with it.
It was an amazing way to have a lunch.

What a unique and amazing experience, I will remember this for the rest of my life. Our guide wasn't only an expert in wines, but also told us about the interesting history of Belgrade and how they've ended up with some fun aspects of the the modern culture. We were there with business colleagues, but the atmosphere will no doubt suit friends, families and couples just as well. Highly recommended.

My wife and I come from California and have traveled through wine regions in France, New Zealand, and Italy. In short, we have high expectations when it comes to wine. And it turns out that one of the best hidden secrets in the wine world is Serbia as a wine producer.
We loved the atmosphere, of being down in these ancient tunnels. We absolutely loved the wine. And our host for the evening was on his very first wine tour, but he was personable, engaging, humorous, extremely knowledgable, and most importantly, he was very generous with his time and with his pours.
This isn't just a wine tasting. This is a wine party. The provided food was great and the drink provided was plentiful. We left with four bottles purchased, and at prices that absolutely can't be beat. We bought what we consider to be a $40 or more bottle in California for the equivalent of $10.
One thing to note - these are ancient caves built from Roman times. They don't have toilet facilities. But just make sure and visit one beforehand, and you'll be fine.
A truly wonderful two hours spent viewing history and enjoying the unexpected pleasure of great Serbian wine. You will not be disappointed.

A friend of mine has told me about this wine cellar, I visited it and it has been incredible experience. The atmosphere is authentic and wines are excellent. The wines are similar to Spanish wines with character.

All visits to this unique cellar were awesome experience.
Hosts are very friendly, nice and like to explain everything there is to know about the cellar, Belgrade, food and wine. Every visit expends our tastes and knowledge about wines and tasting. Loved strawberries with cream and chocolate and Seherezada. Or even more, plata of cheese and smoked meet with Victor. And waiting to taste that fondue abd raclette.
I would recommend this place in heart of Belgrade if you would like to have an adventure to turn all your senses, in a part of the ancient Roman passages and vaults and have a fantastic time tasting amazing combinations of food and wine with all that candles lit and great stories to be heard.
I am sure I will visit it soon, again.

I've had really unique experience visiting wine cellar Panajotovic, which is placed in underground catacombs, that were used like bombshells during the war, and years before were part of Roman undeground passages..and all of that in the heart of Belgrade! I've expected simple wine tasting but it has turned out to be suprisingly creative food & wine combination..dry meat, several sorts of cheese and desert in the end gave those wines unforgetable expresion. Hosts were warm and pleasant, and gave us short class of history :) My warmest recomendations to everyone visiting Belgrade, you won't regret it!
