This is by far the best tour I have joined. Lots of underground, hidden gems in this city that are unknown to the general eye. - from Graffiti to markets to bars and cafes to independent organisations. I recommend doing this to anyone who wants a unique experience. I now want to revisit most of the places too.

Every city has a soul which I, as a tourist, attempt to seek out when visiting any destination. And the way to get a real feel of a place is seeing it through the eyes if it's local inhabitants. Not every tour guide knows how to bring this about for a tourist. It takes skill but more importantly it takes spirit. And this is what these tour guides have... spirit. Urosh and Alexander are by far the best tour guides I have met so far from all my travels. These guys love what they do and they love their city; plus they're the most social peole I have met on the European Continent (no exaggeration). For me, these are the best criteria for an effective tour guide.
This company has a team of young people who are so chill that your tours with them will feel like hanging out with friends. They are flexible and happy to cater to last minute changes in your plans and give on point advice on seeing what you are looking for - from underground pubs to 5 star restaurants. These guys know their capital inside out.
In addition to touring the capital, we went on a horse riding trip out in the country side. They put a great itinerary together and we had a great day out in nature. Come to think of it, I think Urosh and Alexander enjoyed it more than me and my crew (hehe).
We are coming back next October for twice as long as we did this year and we will be planning all pur out-of-town tours (hunting, fishing, visitng caves and other cities) all with these guys. Why? Because these guys know what they're doing, they love what they do and they enjoy these activities as much as we do which makes every trip like a friends' get together rather than a formal company taking you out to do stuff with formal communication and so on.
Thanks to you guys, our trip to Belgrade was memorable.

Not convinced? Just have a tour with these guys and you'll start thinking the same. Creative and dynamic, true city lovers - Belgrade Alternative Guide is better than all the travel books combined. These guys will help you to discover real Belgrade, one you would never be able to find on your own. You will end up in weirdest paces hearing most unbelievable stories that you then crave telling your friends about. Dare to have a unique experience with them and you will not regret!

Based on TripAdvisor reviews, I tried really hard to contact Belgrade Alternative Guide to book a tour. I sent an email to make enquiries. The email was not understood properly and the reply was not what I was asking. Okay, language barrier, so I clarified. This time I did not even receive an answer. After a week, I emailed again asking if my email had been received. The reply was that it had been received but they did not know their schedule yet. They would know in a few days. That was already a week before I had to leave, and I would have expected them to know their schedule by then. So I waited a few days for them to get back to me, and never heard from them again. Extremely disappointing, and unprofessional.

I reserved to join a free street art tour.
We have been there at the scheduled date, time and place — and now one showed up. No e-mail in advance, no notification.
I called the guy and got the information about changed time (3 hours later because of heat). Then I got another information about the cancellation.
Even if it is a free tour, I expect another kind of communication and to take tours serious.

If you wanna see Belgrade trough local's eyes and you are not blessed enough to have friends from Bg that can show you around Belgrade alternative guide is the choice. We had great time.Aleksandar and Katarina are super fun and they showed us places that we would never manage to go by ourselves. They really know their city and they show us all cool hiden places and alternative bars. You can see al the main attracactions by yourself but if you wanna meet true Belgradians and see how the people really live and you should take a tour with them. Thank you guys very much!

What a great way to close 2014! I was with a good friend of mine and Uros was our guide on the 31st of Dezember, 2014. Belgrade was cold and white from the previous days of snow, which made it even more beautiful. Uros was just the best, and took us to precious spots in town for street art, always adding relevant information and funny facts (and holding our hands so we didn't fall on the slippery pavement! Lol). He took us to eat Burek (just awesome!) and we finished our tour at his friend's studio drinking rakija. That just confirmed that Belgrade is the city with the most amazing people ever, and for sure it will make us come back. Uros, we are looking forward to doing the trip again in summertime! See you! :)

Belgrade Alternative Guide's guys are the best! I've seen and experienced so many things in Belgrade thanks to them! They have the grandma who serves delicious Serbian food, they know the best bars and clubs in the city, they can share loads of stories with you, they have access to the secret island, and much much more... Don't hesitate.. contact them immediately if you decide to visit the awesome Belgrade!

We did a Belgrative Alternative tour with a bunch of friends in late 2013. Our guide picked us up at our place and then showed us around in the neighborhoods, gave us cool insights to absolutely untouristy places, showed us both hip and alternative bars and clubs and and gave us an introduction to Serbia's complicated history. I would always do it again and can totally recommend it. Our guide was Uros.

Wear extremly (!) comfortable shoes, have a bottle of water with you and make sure you don't forget to take your camera, phone or whatever it is that you take pictures with. In any moment during the tour you can ask them to show you what you're interested in, but if you have no idea what you want to see, they already know how and what to show you to amaze you.
Some people might complain that these kind of tours are too long (they do last 3-5 hours), but I guess it's better than to just hang out in a shopping mall.
Maybe it is a lot to absorb in this tour in only one day, but it makes you want to come back in Belgrade again.
References on Serbian history, politics, youth, stereotypes and life in Belgrade in general are also not left out.
At the end of the day my legs were killing me but it was absolutely worth it, and I hope to come back again.
Thank you, Belgrade Alternative Guide!
