I finally arrived in Ciglana just after the sunset, and after I was greeted by an artist with a great smile.
Soon I realized why artists have ateliers, as I was really inspired by the energy and serene tranquility of the place, and wrote a lot sitting on the sofa with my legs stretched, snoozing once in a while and writing again.
I went up to the kafana of the establishment later to eat something. After the first shot of quince rakja, I saw the August (blue) full moon rise over the old part of the factory production line building, abandoned with then freshly made bricks still lying around and now converted into a huge art gallery and concert space

We've arrived after dark, expecting to go to a club. Instead, we found ourselves in a huge space, full of strange sculpture-like figures, small bazaar with stalls, the factory buildings lying around hosting places that could be vaguely described as bars. We went to a big open space, where the concert we came for was taking place. We didn't have much time to look around, but the whole space (I'm using the word space because I lack a better one to describe it) stroke us as freaky, unusual and super interesting - one of the reasons to go back to Belgrade.
You can go there by bus 35 - take it from the Republic square, this is its first stop. The ticket is RSD 200, you can buy it from the driver. There are about eleven stops to Ciglana. You should take of the bus at Tredbenicka (or something like that). Then it's just walking distance away.

It's a bar, restaurant and club with live and excellent music. There is also the atelier where the owner, Viktor, with friends, makes sculptures and exhibits them. Kitchen is run by Yu rock legend, Jovec, and it's great. Last Friday I enjoyed the concert of a great blues band, Zona B. The night that I will long remember. Thanks everyone, thanks Belgrade. I love you.

Berlin meets Burning man meets Danube. Very unusual, relaxed, hipsterish but friendly place. Actually easy to find and reach with public transport (buses 35, 202). You can either attend some event or just hang around or grab a drink in very pleasant caffe.

Just everything is great and especially the food! Something truly amazing! We were lucky to be there when a great gipsy band was playing. Can really recommend it!
