The monument of Nikola Pašić was made by Zoran Ivanović and it was erected in 1998 on the Square of Nikola Pašić. Pašić was prominent politician and statesman. He was a founder of Radical Party and he was part of a Serbian political life for 48 years. He was the president of the National Assembly, the Prime minister, the president of Belgrade municipality, deputy to Russia…
During the First World War Pašić, as a Prime minister, signed the Corfu Declaration in 1917. He was one of the creators of Vidovdan Constitution from 1921 by which the Kingdom of Serbs, Coats and Slovenians was declared Unitary Monarchy.

The place is under "must".One of Belgrade's most important sights to pass through. On the other side is small modern gallery that you may really enjoy.

Fitting tribite and a nice statue of a very important Serbian politician from the late XIX and early XX century.

The monument is erected to one of the most prominent Serbian politicians from end 19th / beginning of 20th century who was minister and prime minister in this very important period of Serbian history (liberation from Turkish occupation and then Balkan wars and WWI). The monument is not particularly impressive but as it is in the central area of Belgrade it deserves couple of minutes to visit if somewhere around (in Knez Mihajlova/Terazije, or close to the monumental Parliament building). The monument is of recent date – built towards the end of 90s. During hot summer days it is nice to sit at the square where the monument is and close to the fountain next to it.
(Two photos attached to Nikola Pašić monument have nothing to do with the monument – the first being from the monument of Unknown Soldier at Avala Hill outside Belgrade, the second from a private album probably also taken at Avala Hill.)

We have found during our travels you can learn a lot by its cities, statues and monuments, this bronze statue, located in the square of the same name, stands a proud monument, of the man who was essentially the creator of Yugoslavia. He signed the Corfu Declaration, the establishment of a unified Yugoslav state, (Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes), all this time we thought Tito created Yugoslavia.

Positioned in the center of a large square just a few meters away from the main shopping street Knez Mihailova and also the most important ministry buildings, this monument enriches even then this beautiful square, decorated with an equally beautiful fountain. The statue itself is irrelevant in the context but it is ok.

We really didn't think that the statue and the fountain surrounding it were that impressive. It was neat reading about this famous Stateman, but nothing else was extraordinary.

The lovely statue of the famous statesman, Nikola Pasic, is located on a small square near a lovely fountain and pond.
It's worth a couple of photos, at most.

Nikola Pasic is considered by many to be the greatest ever Serbian statesman. His statue is worth visiting for this fact alone. Twenty metres in front of the statue is a modern fountain, which I found very attractive.
