The tower is close to the beautiful Moscow Hotel and was built in 1860 when Prince Milos Obrenovic returned to the throne. It's more of a tower than a fountain. Our guide told us that the tower was one of three in Belgrade used by the Turks when they used aqueducts to bring water to the city.
The towers were used to increase the water pressure much like modern day water towers do.
It's definitely worth a photo on your tour of Belgrade.

Squeezed between three streets with crowded traffic this fountain can hardly be called a tourist attraction. Yes, it has some interesting history, but between worrying not be hit by a car and not earning a lounge cancer from the exhaustion pipes' deadly toxins, you will barely find a time to enjoy and marvel this 1860 fountain, which by the way is not even residing on its original place.

It’s a beautiful fountain remembering Prince Milos return to thorn. You willl find a lot of youngsters sit around the fountain and enjoying their chat. From the design it looks like in its golden times, it was served for quenching the thirst of visitors to the city.
It’s in right in front of Moscov Hotel
