Located in Tasmajdan Park with its serene surroundings, St Mark’s is a grand Orthodox Church built in a Serbo-Byzantine architectural style with a magnificent façade. Inside you will find mosaics, frescoes, beautiful marble and other works of art. The iconostasis (wall of icons) is very big and also has depiction of the last supper and Annunciation. Worth a visit.

This church is very regal. There is a park that surrounds it and a wonderful restaurant near by as well. Unlike many places this one has parking which is not easy to come by in Belgrade. Buses and trans pass by so it is easy to get to as well.

Church of St Mark is one of the most beautiful churches in Belgrade. Rising above Tasmajdan Park, the view towards St. Mark's Church is simply stunning. It was built in 1931-1940. on the site of an old church dating back to 1835, according to plans by architects Petar and Branko Krstić, in the Serbian Byzantine style. The red bricks and unique towers give it a very special look. Extremely beautifully decorated with one of the richest collections of Serbian icons from the period of the XVIII-XIX century. The kiosk inside sells a rich selection of candles and souvenirs. Lovely church with beautiful energy. Required worth visiting.

A church has been at this location since the 19th century. Sadly, the original wooden church burnt down in 1941. The growth of the population in Belgrade, combined with the need for a new church, resulted in this much bigger church.

The church was designed by Petar and Branko Krstić, and built in Serbian-Byzantine style of architecture. The facade has the bell tower standing over the entrance. Extending over the entrance are two wings of arcades, open on the ends, but terminating at the walls of the tower.

The interior of the church is huge and was the largest Serbian Orthodox Church in interwar Yugoslavia. The interior is as lavishly decorated as you’d expect for a church of this size and the principal decoration is concentrated on the iconostasis. The iconostasis' mosaic also depicts the Annunciation, where Mary is depicted as being visibly surprised by the notion that she will be the Mother of God. Just above that is a mosaic of the last supper and around are mosaics of saints.

Church of St Mark is located in the lovely Tasmajdan Park and its one of the biggest churches in Belgrade. The outside looke very beautiful, the red bricks give it a nice look. The inside is pretty simple though, the impressive part is its hight and the large columns.
Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Beautiful, but mostly from outside. This church was supposed to be main church for Serbian Orthodox Religion, but they leaved the project before it was painted from inside and started building Church of St. Sava as a main one. Church is classic Byzantine style and lays at the forefront of the beautiful Topcider Park.

Peaceful place for prayer, so respect the rules or they'll show you to the door. That means no photos --
and no short pants for the guys. As a woman, I covered my head but other ladies didn't.

This church is in the downtown. There are graves of very important historical persons. You will see amazing icons and frescos on the walls. The entrance is free.Next to the church is a park where is the famous tavern Poslednja šansa. The street in front of the church is named Boulevard King Aleksandar where you can find shops and small restaurants, also there are some buildings of Belgrade University.

This church is something you should never skip if you are visiting Belgrade. It is situated in the city centre but still in a beautiful park, just a minute walking distance from the National Assembly and President's office. It is the place where Serbian Emperor Dusan the Great is buried. Although still not painted on the inside, which is one of the qualities of the Serbian Orthodox churches, it's still breathtaking and simply beautiful.
