Great 'cobbled stone' street to visit for the Bohemian in you and enjoy the food options provided in the restaurants. However if your are an english speaker, please keep your translator handy as most of the servers do not understand the language, however they are friendly . Many ask for reservations and I don't know if its a ploy to keep 'unwanted' guests away - Could be a 'pick and choose' policy! The brass bands are loud and annoying however its local culture and I guess I have to let them be! They usually don't budge till you them but otherwise quite decent. Frankly I felt there were fewer authentic local fare in this area, - its more of a globalised cuisine serving carbonara and risottos. The risotto was delicious though!

Such a unique experience, really worth it to visit and walk to the stoned pavement, avoid the high heals for the ladies this day you are not gonna make it . Amazing restaurants with original Serbian cuisine and nice few cafe bar restaurants, very vibrant like a trip to the past in Beograd 100 years ago & even more. Highly recommended.

When visiting Belgrade (or Beograd, as said in Serbia), you must include a visit or at least a stroll down to the Old Bohemian Quarter known as Skadarlija. There are restaurants, a few shops, antiques, and all set on a very charming cobblestone street that will make you want to return either at night for a Bohemian traditional dinner at one of the many restaurants, or if you go at night first to eat, return to a quieter stroll during the day. Either one, enjoy this lovely, aestheticly charming piece of Belgrade that I so enjoyed remembering Serbia!

You can't walk normally on the street at night since a ton of obnoxious musicians will play loudly right in to your ear and if you walk past them and just go forward minding your own business, don't worry, they will follow you and make sure you are irritadted every single step on the street. God forbid you are a couple, they will surround you and play their thing (which is appareantly only 2-3 songs repeating over and over again) so they will ruin your experience of the street, which otherwise seems nice during the day. The musicians simply don't have a concept of "leave me alone, I am just walking buy" and the only way to get rid of them is that you run or just go into one of the restaurants. About the restaurants - book well in advance, otherwise you don't get a spot anywhere. This are the main two reasons that Skadarlija experience was ruined for me. I hope I didn't hurt anybodies feelings now.

Quite a sad look out of Bohemian hours. In a way a bit vibrant, a bit underground, a bit outdated, just depicting the city of Belgrade. Recommend visiting it after 8 pm.for better sensa

A magical sidewalk paved with ancient stones looks like a customer from the turn of the century. On the picturesque street are small cafes, art galleries and restaurants. The atmosphere is magical and definitely worth a walk.
We hiked in light rain and it was wonderful

Skadarlija Street, or Ulica in Serbian language, is the typical pedestrian street full of restaurants and bars, where you can eat/drink and enjoy with the nightlife everyday. It is located not so far from the center of the city. I came here to walk in a morning and I had breakfast in the Pekara Spasa (Пекара Спаса, in Serbian), a very good bakery with a friendly staff. Here I drank two turkish coffe and two cakes, the best food at the beginning of the day.

A very beautiful and cosy place. Is regarded as the best place in the city to eat out. I was there in the end of July. Lots of trees and bright flowers. The atmosphere is calm. The cafes are neat and unique. The waitors are willing to help. I only dined in two cafes there but I didn't like the food in neither of them. To my mind there are better places in the city to dine. This is a good to have a walk

This place is quite in the mornings and comes alive in the evening because there are several restaurants and shops. At present they are working on the street but it is still very cute. Stone walk ways and little shops line the steet.

We were in Belgrade in October 2004. Visit to Skadarlija and dinner in Tri Sesira (Three Hats) in Skadarlija was a highlight of our stay. We sat in the courtyard; it was a balmy evening and the whole of Skadarlija was buzzing with people enjoying the ambience. The cobbled roads, the beautiful architecture and lovely art shops were a delight. The food was excellent, char grilled meats and delicious salads and deserts, accompanied with fabulous music (starogradske pesme ie old town music ) we loved it all. Noone is pushy or hassling because you are a foreigner rather everyone is polite, pleasant, freindly. In fact our whole trip in Serbia was like that. Can't wait to go back!!
