There are cranes and the entire building is shut off with construction fencing. The guy at my hotel across the street (the marriott) said it's basically been closed for 15 years. He recommended the Tesla or Military museum instead

It is still closed and people there are used to it now. I have asked a waitress if it's open for visiting, at least some parts of it, i should have checked TripAdvisor first...

The National Museum has been closed for renovation in many years and no one knows when it will be reopened again. In the photo you can see the museum covered with tarpaulin to the left.

Is near the Knez Mihailova pedestrian area and worth a peak, as is nice buiding, partially covered by masks, due to unstarted/unfinished works in progress...
