Avala Tower is the telecommunications tower located in Avala Mountain, in the surroundings of Belgrade, the main city in Serbia. It is a very nice place, where you can go up and see very beautiful views of the land and Belgrade, so it is probably the best lookout in the region. Also, in the top of the tower, there is a bar, where you can drink or eat something. Very nice place to drink a glass of wine and enjoy with views. (See also Mountain Avala)

Loved the panoramic view of Belgrade seeing it in a beautiful peaceful place. The coffee shop also makes lovely coffee quick and easy service. The playground area for kids is also great. The little one sure had a great time.

Avala Tower is nice place to have a lunch with outstanding view. Avala is small mountain close to Belgrade. How many capital cities you know that have mountain 20 minutes far by car from city center?

It's an oasis of calmness far away from Belgrade. From the tower is an amazing view, also a few boards describing history and importance of the tower. Whole area is covered with forest, picnic tables, small hotel and other historical monuments, the most important is the Monument of Unknown soldier. You can spent several hours wandering there. The big disadvantage is the transport by public transport. It takes easily an hour and you need local advise which bus/tram to take. The bus then stops right below the Avala hill.
