Located no too far from the city centre, this is one of the best places to have long walks and excercise at the open. Downside is that on weekends it can get rather crowded, especially during summer.

Great urban outdoors location. Walking path. Biking path. Lots of restaurants, coffee places. Family and pet friendly. Crowded on weekends and in the summer. Bikes for rent. Rollerblades for rent. Can swim but I have never done it. A definite warm weather must.

A week in Belgrade with a 4 year old (29 Replies)
We have booked a week's holiday in Belgrade at the start of August. I have read most of the posts on this forum and have a general idea on the most popular things to do and places to visit in central Belgrade. However, I have a few specific questions: - Can you give me some idea of how much to budget per day / week for spending money? We are not big museum fans so we will probably visit one museum if any and we like to walk as much as possible, although having a young son can make this a...More

If you are in the city center, have a good stroller and comfy sneakers you will not have a problem walking around and will probably not need a taxi much. Calling them in advance is best I usually use LUX taxi simply dial 199-44 (dispatcher). Daily budget, hmm ... depends what and where you want to eat, for instance morning if you have a burek 90-100dinars, baked goods range from 30-150 dinars depending what you want, a small cornbread, croissant, cheese filled pastries etc...Fresh sandwiches...More

Ada Ciganlija - ideal to visit in mid april? (6 Replies)
Will it be too cold to visit Ada Ciganlija in mid april?

I've just looked into the beans, consulted some prehistoric bones and even cut some pork meat and the results are inconclusive. ;) Mid April can go both ways, really impossible to tell. Last year, it was quite beautiful. I would expect the temperature to go as high as 20-25 C but it can also be a mere 15. If it's that important to take part in some outdoors activities, keep checking the forecasts.

Weather and splavs in late September (27 Replies)
Hi all, I'm thinking of staying 4 nights in Belgrade in the last week of September. My question is will the weather still be warm and sunny? I saw on an 'average weather' site there are only 2 hours of sunshine in September compared to 8 in August, but I'm sure this can't be accurate! Are the open air splavs still going in the last week of September or are things beginning to close down? Good, busy atmosphere? And is the beach/lake at Ada Ciganlija still going on and warm enough...More
