Traveling five of seven continents has afforded me many unique and memorable experiences from climbing Kilimanjaro to walking beaten paths in Fuzhou, China. My Ziveli Tours excursion in May is a perfect complement, creating an unforgettable set of memories. Debbie and Nesh constructed a wonderful itinerary and packed in a tremendously diverse set of locations and experiences. The lodging, food, service, and guides were uniformly excellent, and the food and people were incredible. We enjoyed each location and experience, generally without any other tourists around. It was a very personal and special experience. If you want a cookie-cutter tour where guides have memorized scripts and rush you from place to place, this tour is not for you. If you want a unique opportunity to experience beautiful Serbia uninhibited and completely immersed, I highly recommend Ziveli Tours!

It never crossed my mind that Serbia would turn out to be such an ideal getaway! I booked a private trip with Ziveli Tours. It had everything I like: art, history, natural beauty, and peaceful lodging. From the music-filled meals in Belgrade to the quaint old-fashioned charm of the homestead, I was enchanted. I went on a whim, having never been to this part of the world, not wanting to go to Paris, London, etc again. I was not disappointed! The warmth of the people, the magnificent history, the FOOD (OMG), the beautiful countryside and the charm of Debbie and Nesh...do yourself a favor. Take this treasure-filled trip. Ziveli! (Means "cheers" in Serbian).

This is not your run-of-the-mill average tour. This tour is a true cultural immersion. We did and saw things that we would never have been able to do on our own as a tourist traveling in Serbia. We learned a great deal about the history of Serbia, were treated to fantastic food, had many unique experiences and saw beautiful country side. The highlights are too numerous to mention. But one was visiting the bridge over the Drina, learning about it's history, and then going down this beautiful green river on a boat whose captain was a captain on a destroyer in the Yugoslav navy. We stopped at his house on the way and were treated to a feast prepared by his wife. Over the top. Nesh and Debbie are wonderful hosts and went out of their way to ensure that we all had a special experience. They provide a level of personal attention all too uncommon in the tour business and truly want their guests to have a unique and unforgettable experience. Zilveli!

When my friends invited me to come to Serbia, I thought why not! I knew nothing about Serbia, and was truly a passenger in the hands of Ziveli Tours. I am so glad I went. Serbia was surprisingly beautiful, and the history was rich. Debbie and Nesh , our tour guides ensured, we learned about the history, the folklore, and visited places where our experience was deepened. After 3 days in Belgrade, we traveled to the countryside and there we experienced the generosity of the Serbian people. Everywhere we went we were greeted like we were family who was very happy to see us! And the food and wine and Rakia were amazing. The homemade kajmak (cheese) and the ajvar (red pepper condiment) was served at every meal with great bread, and was well worth the calories. One of the highlights of the trip was a trip down the River Drina from Bosnia into Serbia. The Captain of our boat was as colorful as our guide Nesh! And if the beauty didn't keep us entertained, the stories of the Captain and Nesh did. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to explore Europe. It will be well worth your time, and the value is amazing!

Our 20 -30 May 2019 trip to Serbia with Zilevi Tours was one of our best vacations ever. The Serbian people, food, climate, country, and locations we visited were lovely, delicious, perfect, beautiful, and interesting and varied respectively and the personal touch provided by trip leader Nesh made this trip really special. It felt like having old friends show us their country and culture rather than being on a tour. The Serbian people we met everywhere were warm and friendly, the culture is rich and Serbian/Balkan history is very interesting. The private visit to the Royal Palace in Belgrade and the boat ride down the Drina river between Bosnia and Serbia were highlights. We felt like we were ahead of the wave of Serbian tourism which seems to be growing. For any considering visiting Serbia, Nesh and Debbie with Ziveli Tours is most highly recommended.
