Schitul Darvari is that kind of place in which you feel like you're in one of the monasteries in the middle of nowhere, but actually you're in the city centre. There is a very nice painted church and the yard of the church is fabulous, full of flowers, even if it's quite small. It's a place hard to find, but not to be missed.

Behind the walls lie a beautiful garden , a small church and few related buildings. This is a gem in the neighborhood.

We visited Schitul Darvari as our leaflet describe it as a walled garden and a must visit.
It is lovely and has two beautiful orthodox churches and is completely quiet and tranquill in a very busy city. But it is not much of a walled garden. Although some nice tress and plants do exist. Toilets available.
15 minutes would be a recommended time for this visit. It might take longer to get there.

it's like Narnia, you open the door and enter in other world; nothing announces what you get once you pass the gate
everything is so tiny, so clean, so colorful in the autumn
very nice complex, with a history of 180 years, with an warm architecture which combines representative elements from the south part of Romania

the church looks very beautiful; the priests are very kind; lots of children and young people. this is a monastery, and it's specific for a greek-orthodox church

Near city center you can find a place where time stops.A small but beautiful garden with old trees, a little church is the place where you can breath, think and relax.

Lovely little haven in busy Bucharest. It's also a quick stop if you're walking around the city. You can see all of it thoroughly in about 5-10 minutes.

A little monachal establishment placed in the heart of the city,in a quiet area, surrounded by old majestic buildings. The church is tiny but beautiful adorned. The sanctum looks to be recently recently restored. There's also a not big but very nice inner garden.
