Beside the fact that is always crowded, this (almost) downtown beautiful monastery boasts the relics of the Saint Nectarie; resembles the one in Curtea de Argeș; religious song are played in the courtyard at an unmached sound quality; lots of history surround the place;

Just slightly off the main tourist part in what feels like the newer part of Bucharest - but still very close to everything else - the monastery is a must see for any visitor to Bucharest. Unlike most of the churches in the city, this...More

Stunningly beautiful building, with amazingly detailed frescos inside, and decorating the bell tower outside. The noise of the nearby roads and city faded to nothing, and there was a real sense of peace inside the church. If you need somewhere to come and reflect, or...More

The Radu Voda Monastery, dedicated to The Holy Trinity and to The Saint Nectarie from Eghina, was build by the king Alexander the Second of Moldavia in between 1568-1577. Very central. Very beautiful.
