I ate a meal in one of the restaurants located near this cute church. I didn't go inside as the church appeared to be closed, but it looked quite good from the outside. Worth a look if you're already in the vicinity.

Right in the City Center vis a vis of Radisson Blue Hotel and in the back side of Hilton Hotel is a typical Cristian Orthodox Romanian Church! Is my favorite one (probably also because of the priests, who are really brave in what they do! But you have to wake up Sunday morning around 10.am do join the service and listen them. (wich can be quite difficult in a city with such a nightlife like Bucharest).

This is a lovely little church, located next to a busy road.
The church is almost 2 centuries old, but still remains well intact and taken care of.
The interior, while being rather small and simple - is beautiful, with a golden altar and some lovely windows.

We were pleased to enter this old church and see so many people attending the service.
There were only a few seats, we sat there and enjoyed the beauty of this old church.

From 1827 and still visited by Christian Orthodox believers who worship the icons of Christ while He is looking down from a prominent place in the cupola. The atheist communists were unable to extinguish the flame. In modern times the belief in fairy tales continues.

Set back a little from the road so you could almost pass it without noticing it really is a small church. but inside it is also very beautiful and well worth a visit.

What a worthwhile stop! It was absolutely gorgeous inside. And the old lady cleaning didn't speak a word of English, but she was as nice as she could be and understood that I was asking to take picture, to which she smiled and nodded. The pictures say more than I can.

Another lovely church, tucked in just beyond the Hilton Hotel. The paintings within the splendid iconostasis have beautiful, elaborately carved and gilded frames. Not quite the same atmosphere as the Old Court Church which remains my favourite of those we visited, but definitely worth seeing.

One of the largest churches we visited in Bucharest. Nicely decorated. Definitely worth a quick visit.
