My mom and I took a 9 day tour exploring Transylvania and we had an amazing time with Book Tours Romania. We actually felt spoiled as everything was taken care for us. Our hotels and our rooms were above and beyond our expectations, our tour guide George made sure everything was taken care of, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about sights, the culture and history of Romania. Book Tours Romania was great to work with, they even altered our itinerary to see some sights that we were interested in but were not usually included. I cannot even think of one thing that I was unhappy with, we had such a great time and had the most amazing and sometimes unexpected experiences.

Our group of four booked a Saturday to Saturday tour of Transylvania, starting and ending in Bucharest. It was one of the best experiences we have had in Europe. Our trip planner, Bogdan, was very responsive and laid out everything wonderfully. Great pre-trip communication. Our tour guide, Marcel, was excellent. He had an expansive knowledge of Romanian history, was delightful to spend the week with, and was very flexible in meeting our needs. We loved the in-home lunches prepared by Romanian families, the beautiful hikes through the Carpathian Mountains, the beautiful scenery, the amazing old cities, churches, castles, and fortresses. It was an outstanding week. We look forward to returning to Romania.

Travel to Romania!

Traveling with Book Tours Romania was, hands down, the best personal, guided tour company that I have ever experienced. Bogdan went above and beyond in everything that he did to ensure we had a memorable experience. I sent my interests and needs, and he curated a fabulous 14-day trip throughout the country. We focused on visiting artists throughout the country and unique cultural experiences with a focus on eco-tourism. It was an incredible experience and I can't recommend traveling with Bogdan enough. From tasting incredible food to dining with the locals, visiting artists, staying in chic bed and breakfasts, hiking, and much more, it was a beautiful trip.

We had 9 glorious days in Romania from Bucharest to exploring the beautiful medieval towns, taking in all the major highlights in the Transylvania region not forgetting the gorgeous countryside, notably the Transfagarasan road and the ability to do the 7 ladders canyon together with ziplining across 34 tracks!!
Special thanks to Marcel Ene, our passionate and enthusiastic guide, who made the trip especially memorable for us with his detailed knowledge of the history and culture of Romania. He was unfailingly attentive to our needs and flexible day by day with a very balanced itinerary.
I will definitely return to Romania and thanks again to Bogdan and Marcel for organising the perfect holiday!!

We booked a 5-day private tour of Transylvania and Bucharest with Bogdan. He picked us up at the airport, drove us throughout Transylvania, over the Transfagarasan Road, to Bucharest and on to the port of Giurgiu. Bogdan has a deep knowledge of the country and its history. We learned so much as we visited villages, castles, fortified churches and other unique parts of Romania. The hotels were all 4 and 5 star quality and in great locations. I can't say enough great things about this tour and the country of Romania.

I recommend BookToursRomania for anyone visiting this part of the world.
