    Pleasant Surprise
Arrived here by accident, after taking the wrong bus. What a good surprise! They had many good shops but best of all was the cinema. All movies were in original language and priced at about 30 RON. A real treat with excellent seats and sound quality. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon,

    the place to shop!
Even though a bit far from the city center, it has all the known brands and some more local brands. Wonderful food courts with a very nice variety of food options. There are lockers just in front of the main entrance. Lockers are in several sizes and you can even store your trolley case. That enables you to live your shopping bags, coats etc. and shop hands-free.I found the prices avarage, unless its sale time.

I don't understand why every day tens of thousands of Romanians have to look for parking spaces in the parking space outdoor, outside the mall (not indoor underground).
There are companies that offer sensors on the ground for parking spaces to detect if parking spaces are free. Combine that with a mobile app where you look on the map where the free parking spaces are, and you have saved millions of hours lost collectively looking for parking spaces.
Was there a pilot with something like that?

A mall like all the others. Located on the outskirts of the city, at the exit to Ploiesti. You can find here what you can find in any other mall: clothes, shoes, electronics, cosmetics, fast food area, cafes, restaurants, cinema.

If you have not seen Băneasa shopping Mall, than you should.
All the brands you know, and all that you don t know yet, nice decorations, especially for NEW Year and Christmas, many shops with make up, like sephora, Douglas, sports clothes, coiffeur, actually 2 or 3,a Pet Shop, a huge cinema, Good food and a large variety of Coffee shops. A playground for kids, a pegas Shop and ikea and mobexpert just meters away, and a Carrefour, the large st super market i ve seen so far in bucharest.
At least Once you should pay a visit ar this place.

One of my favourite shopping Malls in Bucharest, maybe because of it's location which is on the way to the airport which makes it a perfect spot for a late shopping before leaving the city.
The Mall is pretty big and has also a nice food court and plenty of shops for everyone's taste.
Definitely worth checking if you are in the mood for some late shopping.

In some comments I read "best mall in Bucharest".....well what does that mean?
There are only average malls in Bucharest, so it means nothing to be the best mall in this city. It is like I would say Seat is the best car in Spain, because they have nothing better. :)
Compared to malls in Istanbul for example Baneasa wouldn´t even be mentioned in the list of the top hundred.
I have the feeling most people here haven´t seen really good malls.
First of all the architecture is nothing. The typical post Sovjet style. The architecture of most malls in Istanbul (also Mavibahce in Izmir) is so amazing and outstanding, that I very often just go there to enjoy the beautiful rsut of the talenented people who designed these malls. The shapes, the lights, the concepts....eveything is perfect. Sorry to tell you...but to see another Zara, LC Waikiki, Stradivarius and so on, I don´t need to go to Baneasa. This you find in any other shopping mall in any other city of the world. And the poor bathrooms in Romanian shopping centers nobody in Turkey would offer to anybody. Also it is shokcing to see how many Romanian women including the stuff of the food could (there uniforms tell where they work) don´t even wash there hands after using the bathroom. Disgusting. I have never seen Turkish women not washing there hands in a bathroom.
Anyway... if you like to see the beauty of good mall architecture google for example Zorlu shopping center in Istanbul. I ahve never seen before something liike that ( and I travekled 50 countries). Even in the Emirates they can only dream of architects like that. Viva Istanbul !!!!!!
Another big problem with Baneasa, without a car it is super difficult to reach. There is no metro station in this area. You have to take the bus, which needs nearly one hour from the center. And of course this doesn´t include the half hour to find a place where you can buy a busticket. Yes the infrastructure is another thing which romania could learn a lot of Turkey. A good shopping center has a good public transport connection. Very simple. But not for the way of thinking of Romanian responsibles.
And it it coms to friendlyness escpecially towards foreigners....this word I wouldn´t connect with Eastern European countries. But at least in Romania the people are not as undriendly as in Bulgaria. There you find the real xenophobics.

The mall really has quite a lot of different shops and brands that you can browse.
However it is has quite a limited space for kids entertainment and it is often overcrowded.

Pretty much like any mall around the world. Some are more high class than others. This was your average mall even having a small M&S. There is an eating area; better class restaurants upstairs perfectly fine fast food cafes on the ground floor. We received helpful, friendly service. Didn't go to IKEA but am assuming it's the same as others IKEAs.

This mall is worth a visit if you're visiting Bucharest. It's got a large variety of fantastic shops. The place is safe and clean. It is only a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the city centre.
