This museum should be visited at the same time as the National Art Museum which is next door. There are some big names such as Monet but the focus is more low key than other European museums. This being said, coming from North America, this...More

This is another beautiful building on the Calea Victoriei which is a lovely Art Gallery and well worth a visit. If you cannot find time to enter just come and marvel at the lovely architecture.

We visited both the European and the Romanian art galleries , although you can buy separate tickets for each one. We were not disappointed. There was a lot of great art to see. Take your time and be prepared for lots of stairs.

This gallery is split into 2 - the European collection and the Romanian national collection. I chose the latter, as I was curious about Romanian art. The entry fee is 15 Lei - about £3 - a bargain! The ancient art section didn't interest me,...More

Allow at least 3 hours to visit this art museum. The building itself is gorgeous, built in Neo-classical style in late 19th century and augmented further over the next decades into the 20th century. Each room has its own character and they feature equally beautifully...More

This is one of many imposing buildings on Calea Victoriei. It includes a wide selection of art collections. It was extremely quiet on the day we visited. Only RON 15 to enter - well worth it.

No, as in many of Bucharest's attractions, there is not a cafe, but plenty round about.
