Ion Dima started to assist us as our guide, even before we actually traveled. He helped us prepare our itinerary according to what we would prefer to visit and helped us with suggestions for other places.

During our 9 day private tour through the country, he was always present, helping us at all times, telling us about the history of the country and its sights. Besides, he speaks good English and was always in a very good mood.

My boyfriend and I went on a search for the real Dracula with Ion. At first we didn’t know it was a personal tour and we didn’t know if we had to pack stuff to leave in a bus, car etc with other people. I was so excited to know it was a personal tour. No worries about leaving things behind in a vehicle while exploring.
Ion was very informative and he was very knowledgeable about Romanian history.
There were a few stops and we ate a lunch next to the Poenari castle. I was a bit worried about the 1400 steps at the castle since I have problems with asthma and the cold(it was December). But there was no rush on how fast we trekked up the stairs.
He didn’t even seem to mind that I had Dante my plushie with me!

My wife and I and are from the US. We would like to write about Ion Dima and his Romanian-based travel agency called Romania Tour Store. We booked a private tour of Romania with him. Ion went out of his way to help us create a customized itinerary to what we wanted to see. His price was definitely more affordable than other travel agencies. And because this was a private tour, he focused his attention on only us. Ion has been the manager of Romania Tour Store for the past 12 years. His friendliness and detailed knowledge of Romania’s history and culture has provided us with a very enjoyable and enlightening tour experience. The quality is shown in his passion for his country. We learned a lot of things about Romania that we didn’t know before. We also wanted to try eating Romanian cuisine, so each day, Ion made his recommendations to us for which city or town had the best restaurants that served the best specific Romanian food items. All of the food was delicious and all of the restaurants were excellent. He would even go out of his way and call museums, attractions, restaurants, and other businesses for us to find out information for us about prices, operating hours and so forth. Romania is a beautiful country with his landscapes, museums, old towns and villages, fortresses, castles, churches, monasteries, and its kind people. If you want to tour Romania, then I strongly suggest that you book it through Romania Tour Store. It will be an experience that you will never forget.

My husband and I spent a day exploring the countryside of Wallachia with our guide Mihai. It was just the three of us, it felt like we were just friends hanging out on an adventure. Mihai was great! Tons of fun, great company and very informative! The tour was one of the highlights of our Europe trip. We saw Poenari fortress and Transfagaran highway.. I'd say they're both "must-see's" & ask for Mihai, he's the man! Thanks for an awesome day!

We enjoyed our tour very much. Angelica was an excellent guide and we appreciated the way she made sure we had the best possible time. Both days were very long with many hours of driving, but we saw a lot. The countryside is beautiful, as were the towns we stopped in.

Ion was quick to respond to our questions. His cheerful personality made the tour so much more enjoyable. He is transparent about the pricing and tourist can rest assure. The tours are educational and interesting. My wife and I both agreed that we had learnt so much from him. He was flexible and spontaneous, by including active activities by understanding our abilities. All in all a 10/10 for Romania Tour Store.

My sister and myself were in Bucharest recently and had the great pleasure of a private tour to Transylvania, Bran Castle, the Monastery at Sinaia, the two palaces and as an added extra, a trip to a vineyard en route. Our brilliant and very professional guide was Florin Daciu - an extremely knowledgeable man who had lots of interesting facts and tales to tell regarding every venue we visited. He made our trip into a wonderful day out!! We were collected from our hotel and dropped off again in the evening and the price was very reasonable.
As a result of this, we asked him to take us on a tour of the city the next day which was also excellent. We started at the Parliament Palace and from there to various other locations in and around the city, all made very interesting by Florin. As requested, he dropped us at a shopping mall not too far from our hotel when the tour finished.
He is also a pleasant, friendly and helpful man and I would highly recommend Florin as a guide should you visit Bucharest and we would certainly contact him again should we return to Romania.

The guide, Angelica, was on time for the pick-up from our hotel in Bucharest at 8:00 a.m. This is a 12 hour day trip. Her car was comfortable with air conditioning.
Angelica was informative & allowed us to set our own pace.
When we arrived at Peles Castle we opted to take the standard tour - be aware that you must pay the tour fee in cash.
Next we toured Bran Castle & then went to Brasov where we ate lunch & had 1 1/2 hours to walk around the town.
We arrived back at our hotel at 8:00 p.m.
Angelica gave us plenty of opportunities to make comfort stops along the way.
Be aware that you will encounter rush hour traffic as you depart and return to Bucharest.
We opted to skip Sinaia Monastery to spend more time in Brasov.
A private tour is worthwhile as you can set your own pace & decide where you would like to spend more time.
We were very satisfied with the reservation process, communication and the tour itself.

There is a lot to see in Romania and trying to do it on our own was incredibly daunting. I scoured the internet for a company who could take care of all our transportation and lodging needs and this is how we met Ion Dima of Romania Tour Store. We knew what we wanted to see and do and luckily Ion had the exact tour for us at an incredible price. One of Ion's drivers, Bogdan Nedea, drove us from Bucharest up to Bucovina to the painted monasteries. The buildings, inside and out, are so well preserved. It's incredible. Our tour consisted of Bucharest, Gura Humorlui, Sighisoara, Sibiu and back to Bucharest. It was an awful lot of driving between cities (Romania is pretty spread out). Ion and Bogdan were incredibly professional. Bogdan has two Masters degrees and was extremely knowledgeable about many subjects. We got to know each other fairly well after being in a car together for 6 days. It was a wonderful experience and I am awfully glad I found Ion and his company for our tour. Romania is beautiful, the food and wine were delicious and very economical to visit this country.
