We had a great time on the Sights and Bites tour; a really interesting tour of Old Town and surrounding areas, followed by great food. Our guide Bogdan was fantastic, really friendly, knowledgeable and a nice person! My husband and I have lived in Bucharest a few months now and learnt lots of new things and saw things we had never spotted before. Thank you again for a great tour! Looking forward to doing another one in the future :-)

At a friend's suggestion, I took the "Beautiful Decay and Alternative" tour, and I'm so glad I did. I was only in Bucharest for a few days on business and had a single day to look around and get to know the city a little. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had a great time. My guide, Ioana, was fantastic. The tour took in loads of incredible buildings, from houses to museums, that are in various states of decay but also in various stages of repair and renovation. Each one has a story which Ioana conveyed with knowledge and passion, and we even had special permission to enter a number of them. This was followed by a tour of some amazing street art, which I absoutely loved. We even got to go inside the university and see some incredibe murals by student artists. I got to see a vibrant, creative side of Bucharest which I would otherwise never have been aware of. The tour made me want to visit the city again and get to know it better. If I do, I'll definitely take another one of these tours (maybe the coffee tour Ioana said was in the pipeline!).

There are many great things about this tour, but one of them is they still offer the tour even if there is just you. First, we took the Metro to Heroes Square and went to a cemetery. My guide was Andra and she was so knowledgeable about the history of Bucharest as well as leading me through the maze of graves. It's the most amazing cemetery I've ever been to. So many delicious stories, scandals and sights await you. We spent nearly two hours there and I didn't want to leave. We made a our way to Revolution Square and heard more of the history of the city. I've done many 'dark' tours and this is up there with the best. Well worth spending the time and the money.

"Hey Michelle, I'm so happy you enjoyed what ended up being a private tour in Bucharest! If you want to enjoy less dark but equally fascinating sights&stories of this city, you know where to find us :) Hugs, Andra"

Dark side tour - with Andra - super tour very informative, had a coffee as we wandered and found out a lot about the history of Bucharest. We spent a fair amount of time in the cemetery- but so much to see! Andra had some good stories and bought the cemetery to life! The revolution - in my life time- was also explained in detail and with passion. The walk through the ‘brothel’ hotel now housing was very interesting and quite sad. Thank you so much!

Ioana was brilliant!!! She has some great stories to tell and you will be kept engaged and entertained from start to finish. She is very knowledgeable and at the same time has a lovely way of imparting information. It was fun and interesting and if you don’t do this tour, you’ll be missing out on a great experience. Initially, I was thinking of walking around on my own but I am so glad I didn’t. I would have missed out big time. I learnt a huge amount and had lots of fun. And, this all happened on a cold Sunday in December! It’s a very small price for a great tour and you won’t regret it. Trust me!
