This area of Bucharest is an architectural gem. The large , old fountains had been emptied of water when we visited but the colourful, mosaic tiled flooring and surrounding walls were spotlessly clean and intact... So unusual not to see damage or vandalism in a...More

Since the fountains were renovated, Unirii Square become a delight. In the evenings of the weekend, the fountains at Unirii Square are displaying a show of movements on music rhythms, and also there are colored light shows that double the effect !

Probably the biggest square in the city is certainly not the finest. While there are the famous fountains, they are not operational during the winter, thus leaving the square to be a hectic and noisy place, constantly bustling with loud traffic.

The water fountains are very beautiful. You should visit them and make some pictures. It is nearby the Palace of the Parliament.

When we were there in November, the lights were working and fully enjoyed the beautiful fountains and the lights. It could be hit or miss. I hope you are able to see the lights!
