Another beautiful orthodox church. This one located at a quite street. There are many trees around so not easy to get a perfect outside picture, also some work is happening so part is covered. Inside it is really pretty it was really impressive

My favorite church, I always visit this church every times I was in Bucharest. Many historical story about this church and very interesting one! I could not say more, if you around Bucharest you could see this church, very easy to find and to recognize.

Like a dream, small and precious. Dark and mysterious on the inside, lovely cuppolas on the outside. Well-worth the visit.

Among the oldest churches in Bucharest, very central location on your way to visit Old Town. Nice paintings inside, beautiful during Easter. I had the opportunity to attend a wedding there. It was wonderful

Walk down the alley from Strada Lipscari opposite Strada Selari, past a couple of sleazy bars and straight across the parking chaos of Strada Blanari to reach this church. It is not far and well worth it for the contrast of the shadowy church interior and its sense of peace. It looks its 300 yearold age outside, but is beautiful inside.

One of the nicest in town, and one of the more authentic. Orthodox, built during the time of Nicholas the II. It is worth a short visit. There is a decent Vietnamese near it, with good Pho if you are hungry. The cake shop right in front, to the left, sell wonderful strudels for 3 lei, a bargain.

The inside of this small basilica is stunning. Really amazing decor and artefacts and a highlight of any visit to Bucharest. Sadly, as of May 2017, the entire outside structure is encased in scaffold and tarpaulin, so you won't be able to see anything of it. The beautiful golden, onion domed minarets peek just above the scaffold, but they are not easily visible. Take a step back across the street as far as you can and you might get a decent photo.

Beautiful Russian Church, with an interesting hallway at the beginning which then leads to the nave and the iconostasis. In a dark setting, the golden iconostasis glimmers and is a cool spot to look at an old church that was built by the instructions of the Russian ambassador 100 years ago.

Is the exterior renovation is still ongoing, and if so, when is it expected to be completed? Thanks!
